QUOTES FROM MAGAZINES AND NEWSPAPERS - PAGE 9

On March 27th, 2002, Paul announced he was quitting S club 7 after 4 years.
The day after this announcement, Hannah said:

"It wasn't a big surprise because I have always known he wanted to do something different. I'm sad I won't see as much as him but we have a strong relationship. Being apart might be healthy for it."

She was also quoted a few weeks later as saying:
"It will be more difficult to see each other when Paul leaves, but  we're still going out, and I still love him!"

Paul did an interview with Popworld on the 29th of March, and said the following:
So Paul, what will you miss most about being in S club 7?
"I think Hannah, to be honest...."

Who did you tell first?
"Jon....well Hannah first, sort of in person, overnight, to see how  it settled with her. But she already knew - I'd be talking about it for quite a while, so she knew it was on my mind.

This article was in the Sun on the 5th June - 2 days after Paul performed with S club 7 for the last time:
"I'm scared about leaving but then you have to do things to scare you or else life is boring. I do worry about being hated by the fans - I'm scared they won't forgive me for leaving. But a man's got to do what a man's got to do. "He will still see a lot of S Club as girlfriend Hannah Spearritt is staying with the band, despite rumours
to the contrary. He said: "I'm going to tag along sometimes to see her. As for trips abroad, I'll go on one or two with her then I can knock on everyone's doors and say hello."

Paul reckons their relationship will be stronger now they won't be working together. He said: "I think it will work better. It will be more like a real, well, normal relationship. We will be like
a man and wife who go to work and then come home and see each other in the evening."S Club 7s Hannah Spearritt took her fella in hand but their love goes on.

S Club 7s Hannah Spearritt took her fella in hand but their love goes on.

They looked so clean-cut.  But the S Club 7 bad boys had to make a grovelling apology to their fans when they were caught smoking marijuana.  However, behind his drug shame, Paul Cattermole probably had to suppress a smile.
By way of punishment hed already received a spanking from gorgeous band-mate and girlfriend Hannah Spearritt.

When I found out, it was a big surprise, she says.
So, when he came home, I said to him Youve been a naughty boy, then I slapped his bottom!

"But, you know what?  Mistakes happen and hes old enough to know when hes done wrong and old enough to make up his own mind.

Despite his love for Hannah, Paul is set to leave the chart-topping group next month to pursue his rock-star dreams with another band.

While his decision stunned the rest of the group, not to mention their army of fans, it came as no shock to the woman in his life as he had confided in her the night before.

Hannah says, He didnt just blurt it out and hed told me he wasnt happy a week before.  Hes sensitive and gets a little down about being on tour, away from home for so long.

I can relate to that because there are times when I feel like giving it up too especially if Ive had a bad day.  Everyone has bad days, but being in a pop band isnt really Paul.  His background is playing in rock bands.

So when he told me he was leaving I was actually really pleased for him.

Hannah, 21, will stay with band mates Bradley, Jo, Jon, Rachel and Tina.  But she says the split wont mean the end of her and Paul.
