| I also have a few other chickens that I don't breed. I have a Black-tailed White Japanese Bantam rooster named Pet, a bantam Dark Brahma hen named Graycie, a large Buff Orpington hen named Bessie, a large Easter Egger hen named Emily, and 4 Golden Sebright roosters named Sargent, Scout, Sam, and Sonny. Pet is my favorite chicken. He was one of the first chicks that I hatched in Spring 2001. When he was younger, he would follow me around the yard, flying to me if I got too far from him. In the summer, my brother would let me borrow his four-wheeler and Pet would ride on it with me! I don't breed him because he doesn't fit the Standard for Japanese Bantams, but he keeps my extra hens company. |
