SOME MORE OF THE BEST MOVIES...

The Truman Show stars Jim Carrey as Truman, a man who's life is a 24/7 TV show and he doesn't know it.  His family and wife are actors.  Soon things happen and Truman begins to suspect there's something more to his life then appears.  Christoph (Ed harris)  will do anythin to stop his star from leaving his picture-perfect world.  Great acting and great story!!!

We all know about "The Sixth Sense" , one of the best movies of 1999.  It shocased the best perfomance of Haley Joel Osment's career.  He plays a troubled nine year old who has a secret and it is tormenting his life.  Bruce Willis, also good, plays a gentle psychologist who's battling his own demons and tries to help Osment.  Other good actors are Olivia Williams and Toni Collette.  It has good music, cinematography, acting, and directing.  It's a must-see for anyone who wants a good cry and a good treat.

Have you seen Jude?  NO?  Do it now.  It's the dark story that takes place in the 1800's about a man named Jude who marries but falls in love with his cousin.  Sue, played beautifully by Kate Winslet, is at first, uncomfortable with loving Jude in that way but they have two children and are poor.  Then Jude finds his wife had a son and they end up taking care of him.  But tragedy strikes leaving the best line in the movie unsaid:  "Because we were too many."  The end is abrupt but powerful and you'll need a hanky for this one.

In 1985 the critically acclaimed foreign film, "My Life as A Dog"  came out and it's better then I thought it would be.  It's the story of Ingmar, a swedish boy growing up fatherless and his mother is dying.  He is sent to live with relatives and the story is both funny and depressing.  It's in either dub or Swedish.

Heavenly Creatures is the true story of two intense teenagers in New Zealand, named Pauline and Juliet.  Two girls who come from different classes and two different parts of the world but who couldn't be anymore "frightfully"  alike.  Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey should've won oscars for their debut about a story of intense love and friendship that ended in tragedy.

Everyone loves the story of Good Will Hunting that won Robin Williams an oscar and Matt Damon and Ben AfflecK oscars for writing.  The story of an abused orphan who grew up in the wrong side of Boston and probably could beat Einstein at any equation.  Will Hunting tries to come to terms with his past and his future in this movie of what it's really like out there.
