The Tech

to Index
What would a rockstar's life be without all the techs and roadies??? Way more hectic, stress?y and messed up!
So he needs somebody who keeps everything running, prepared and right at the place where it is needed and always in time.
All of this needs to be done to ensure a smooth course of a perfect show.

Mike himself gave the perfect proof for that in an interview held by Katarina vor
ctv.ca:
Katarina:
"What's one thing you can't tour without?"
Mike:
"Pobably, well, I could never go anywhere without my tech because I tried to turn on my bass amp today by myself."
Ryan:
"Didn't work out so well, did it?"
Mike:
"He has the best job security going."
Ryan:
"It's like firing a space shuttle I think."
Mike:
"It is. Took me about twenty minutes to realize I don't have an idea."

Even though he keeps trying to deny it, it is beyond all questions that Shuu is indespensable, which is underlined once more in
this article. Any repeated protest rejected ;-)

So, you see: Nickelback also have their own techs to help them while recording in the studio, but I guess most importantly before, while and after every single concert they play. And they need them!!! ;-P
I guess, the techs work as hard as the bandmembers themselves; maybe even harder (can't really judge this too well tho, since I've never done that job myself ;-) ).
And they are even though overlooked way too often.

This is why I decided to dedicate this page to Shuu, Mike's tech! Just thought I'd have to show him my appreciation!
Even though you work so hard, you still find the time to have a chat with the fans, answer their questions if you can, make pics and just joke around!

And OF COURSE (!!!) what you did for me was another reason for dedicating this page to you, Shuu!!!
I guess I told you a thousand times already but I can't say it often enough: thank you so very much for making it possible to meet Mike!!! It means so much to me even though it was only a few minutes and I don't even remember what I said (probably was a lot of crap *g*)... THANK YOU!!! *hug*
Thanks for taking time for some small talk every time we meet, even if you might be hungry as hell at times ;-)
I've met you four times already up til today and I hope I'll see you very, very soon! Miss you!
