NICKELBACK EUROPE

When the actual soundcheck started, my friends Mirella and Lies arrived, but because I didn't have a backstage pass, I couldn't go outside, they would never let me in again :-\ The security is pretty strict in Holland!
But the sound-check was awesome, they played about 7 songs including 4 new ones! It was like a mini concert, and there were only about 10 people watching ~ just great!!!
After the sound-check I talked to Ryan Peake for a while, he also recognized me right away! Then the band went to the dressing rooms, so I didn't know what to do next. When I asked someone if I could put my bag and my coat behind the bar for a minute, Jack overheard me, and he said: you'e with Mike, right? Why don't you put your bags down in the dressing room? Of course I was like 'Really? Wow!!!' So I went downstairs to the dressing rooms and then someone got me a backstage pass (aftershow)!

I arrived at 013 at about 1:15 pm and the tour buses were already there. So I asked someone from the crew where Nickelback were. He said that some of the band members were still shopping, so I decided to go shopping too, and maybe I'd bump into them ;-) And guess what? After only 5 minutes, I saw Chad and Nik! Unfortunately they were in a hurry because they had to do some interviews, so they didn't have time to get me backstage... So I asked someone from the record company if she could arrange something (I told her about my NB website) and she said she would try and I had to come back at 4pm.
So I went shopping for 2 hours, but when I came back, she still hadn't arranged anything for me and she told me to wait.
But then I got lucky again, because at 4:45pm I saw Mike standing in the hall! So of course I went up to him and he recognized me from last August in Dortmund! :-)
He told me to come with him and see what was going on with the soundcheck, so I watched the whole thing. First Mike was sitting next to me and we talked for a while, he was so nice! When he left, he asked Jack (a crew member) to make sure no one would kick me out.

Unfortunately Nickelback had to do a photo shoot, so I couldn't talk to them then... So I decided to go look for Mirella and Lies. We had to wait pretty long for the concert to start (until 9:15) but it was worth waiting for! The show kicked ass, they are such a great live band! Too bad Chad threw a water bottle on my head, if he didn't like me he could have just said so! Just kidding of course... ;-)
They played the following songs: Woke Up This Morning, One Last Run, Too Bad, Breathe, Hollywood, Hangnail, Worthy To Say, Never Again, Old Enough, Where Do I Hide, Contestant, Leader Of Men and How You Remind Me (with Chad and Ryan doing an acoustic intro to the song!).

After the concert I went backstage again, after about 10 minutes I went into the NB dressing room, where I stayed for about half an hour. I wanted to try and get Mirella and Lies backstage too, but it was just impossible, there were so many people there, I hardly got to talk to Nickelback... And it's not like they can go upstairs, there would be too many fans there! ;-) But Ryan and Nik filled out a questionnaire for my site and I took a couple of pictures :-)
Then the band had to go (at about 11:30) so I went too. I got home at about 1:30 am and I was soooo tired! But it had been a great day! I can't wait to see them again on March 11th!!!
