If you hadn't heard of the Backstreet Boys before, this is the album that truly made them a household name. Containing a more mature sound, Millenium helped the Backstreet Boys to be respected as "musicians" instead of just "another boy band". The Backstreet Boys first single "I want it that way" smashed charts all over the world and Millenium still remains one of Billboards top 200 albums. In Canada, "I want it that way" and "Larger Than Life" were 1999's biggest music videos scoring the first and second spots on Much Music. Their tour "Into the Millenium" was the biggest of 1999.
