MAJO NO JOUKEN
(WITCH'S REQUIREMENT)
FIRST  LOVE  LYRICS
Majo No Jouken is a reality-inspired drama of a teacher who fell in love with her student.
Hiroshi Michi, a 26-year-old teacher, found herself to be always obeying her father, even when it came to choosing her life partner. Kurosawa Hikaru, a 17-year-old boy, was always changing school because of his lack of discipline. He always went against his mother and did things behind her back, and even bought a motorcycle without her consent.

The two developed feelings for each other as they grew closer. However, Michi was torn between her fiance and Hikaru. When she decided to leave her fiance (Masaru), she faced strong opposition from her father. Hikaru's mother (Kyoko) and Michi's father tried to break the couple up. Kyoko requested for Michi to teach another class but was furious when she found out that they were still together.

Hikaru's mother decided to transfer Hikaru to another school to prevent the couple from continuing their realtionship. On Hikaru's last day in school, he and Michi ran out of school, leaving his mother, shocked. The couple went to Hikaru's uncle's house, hoping to find out more about his father. Kyoko found out about their whereabouts and sent Masaru to bring them home. Hikaru was hurt in the process and Michi was arrested for kidnapping Hikaru. Having gone through all these obstacles, their love for each other grew stronger. Michi then found herself to be pregnant with Hikaru's child after the latter was forced to leave for America.

Initailly, the drama faced strong oppostion from mothers who were afraid that the teachers would be influenced after watching it. However, that did not stop this touching drama from getting the highest ratings in 1999. Word has it that the drama was inspired by a real story of an American teacher and her student.
Freedom is understanding your reason for living.
