More bad news :(

Thora didn't win :( I just visited blockbuster.com and ALL the winners are there, NO THORA :( Angelina Jolie won the category Thora was nominated in(BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS DRAMA)for GIRL, INTERRUPTED. Too bad, huh? I still don't get why they didn't show everything on tv, probably because of time but If they can't give all in that time, they shouldn't do so much categories, don't you think? Oh well, at least she presented an award, which by the way was BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS DRAMA/ROMANCE, in which Reese Witherspoon won for CRUEL INTENTIONS.

Well, if you saw the BLOCKBUSTER AWARDS you probably already know, what happened to Thora's nomination? plus A LOT other nominations where left out!!! WHY?????? I DON'T KNOW!!!! At least we saw Thora present an award with Kirsten Dunst...

I'm sorry, but Thora Birch News won't be updated until June 23 because I just started my finals and I really don't have time to update.
If I come to update, will be probably June 21, when I know whether Thora won at the blockbusters or not, I'm not sure, but that's the only update likely to happen at this website until the 23. DON'T WORRY, TIME FLIES!!! YOU CAN VISIT OUR OTHER SECTIONS WHILE THERE'S NO NEWS.

GOD!A terrible mistake!

While reading a Roger Ebert review for Thora's movie MONKEY TROUBLE, I stumbled upon a TERRIBLE, and I say T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E MISTAKE!! Look at this line from the review:
"The movie stars Flora Birch (from "Hocus Pocus") as Eva, a troubled gradeschooler who isn't doing very well in school..."
FLORA BIRCH???? CAN YOU SAY MISTAKE!!! It may have been a typing mistake but Flora and Thora are not even close to related(the "F" for Flora is near the "T" but the "L" is a long way from the "H", therefore I do not think it was a typing mistake, although they mention it correctly in the last part where the main cast is listed).

Dungeons and Dragons News!!!

Well, I have just found out Thora has over 30 minutes of screen time on the film(mostly at the begining and the end):( Kinda bad, huh? I really thought she would be in like the whole movie, but well, she was less in Anywhere but Here, well, whatever, even if Thora isn't in the whole movie I think she will be an important part of the movie and that her performance and mainly just seeing her will be completely worth it!
I'd like to point out that she has really great scenes with Jeremy Irons and that she actually gets to ride a dragon into battle at the end of the film!!!! COOL, HUH? I think this movie promises to be a really good action-packed film!!

More news of Thora on THE SMOKERS:
Thora plays Dominique Swain's younger sister Lincoln Roth. She is rather wild in the film, and ends up introducing the .44cal pistol that drives much of the plot.
The Hollywood Reporter wrote "Thora Birch is a scene-stealer" in the film. She did a great job.
As for Thora not yet seeing the final cut of the film(the rumor that was going around and that we mentioned in early news)...that is true. But that is because although they are done making changes to the film, the distributor may still make more changes. Once the distributor is done they will send Thora a copy of the film.

I just saw this show called E! GOES TO CANNES, of course on E!(actually E! LATIN AMERICA) and I think I saw Thora, I'm not sure since she only was in a clip(you could hardly see, it was passed very fast, you couldn't really see her face)but I think it was her, if it was her, she was wearing a blue coat and had short hair(her current hairstyle)
I'll keep you posted if I find out more.
I know some time ago I promised to post 2 transcipts of Thora on E! shows, I haven't forgotten, they're coming soon!

Good news, according to a website called fantagraphics.com, GHOST WORLD'S shooting is officially over!! So that means we will be seeing it some time around the end of the year or the starting of next year(2001).

The Smokers' producer Alex Hernandez gives the scoop on THE SMOKERS to Thora Birch News!
IPC FILMS have currently signed a deal with ATMOSPHERE ENTERTAINMENT for the international rights of the film. They say they film is likely to come out directly on video in the NORTH AMERICAN MARKET!!
Wow, good news, huh? Well here comes bad news :( Actually only for the young Thora fans. The film is rated R.
