First of all, I'd like to send my best wishes for a fantastic holiday to all of you who are reading this hoping you have a great time this holiday season and I know Thora wishes the same for all of you too, the staff at thora.org have posted a nice Holiday Greeting from Thora herself! Go check it out!
Finally, there's some bad news, Thora Birch News will not be updated until about January 10 (be strong, don't cry, we'll be back :)hehe) (hey, I need some rest too) because of the holidays. I have heard LOTS of bad reviews for Dungeons and Dragons but I will still be seeing it (I might get the chance to see it this holiday season if I go to the States) and I recommend you to do the same and not let those bad reviews influence you because we all have different points of view and even if most people didn't like it, maybe you will, plus, Thora's in it!!!

Thora is currently on express.com's MOVIE TALK, where she mainly talks about Dungeons and Dragons and American Beauty but also gives away what may be considered as a spoiler for THE HOLE, so if you want to go blind on the movie, don't read the part where it says: "her upcoming movies", maybe it really isn't THAT big of a spoiler (I mean, I don't think she'd be giving out a big spoiler when the movie hasn't even been released), I'll post the so-called spoiler on the next update, of course with a ***SPOILER WARNING***.

Now, on to the SMOKERS SCOOP, which we have been doing for some months already: The distribution of The Smokers is now in the hands of MGM!!! This means there HAS been progress and that we will finally be able to watch the movie in a not too distant future, which we all hope is soon.
Continuing with THE HOLE topic, well, South Africans, hear me out (you are so lucky!). The Hole is being released there August 10, 2001 (Johannesburg), now I know that seems quite some time but that's the first announced release date and here's what will make you (or maybe has already made you if you catched it) happy, it seems like you can already catch the movie's trailer!!! It seems the movie will be titled SECLUDED EMPTY SPACE over there (you know how they always change the titles), keep an eye open on your cinemas, maybe it was shown on a film festival or something but there's also a chance that it is now being shown on any cinema, I really don't know, I just know it's around, if you know something about it or actually saw the trailer, please e-mail me
Now, for us the non-South African, there's also news, Thora's character name in the film is "Liz".
Late Late Thora and new award!!!

Ok, first of all I'd like to apologize for not updating in like a week but I have been very busy studying (I have an "all-day" exam tomorrow so... Fortunately, I found some time to update today) well, anyways, let's get to the Thora news.
Well, Thora was recently in the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn answering the "five questions" and it was a pretty funny show (actually Thora was just on that part of the show)where she was asked to answer questions like "Besides Birch, name three other kind of trees", the fifth "question" was actually a task where Thora had to show us, "Mom, you don't understand!", and she made some pretty funny "Mom, you don't understand!" expressions, she seemed to have had a great time. Well, I have just added 1 tiny image of Thora in the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn over at the Miscellaneous Thora Pictures Gallery 2. The image is actually from when she made the "Mom, you don't understand!" thing.

Before you read it, let me tell you about a mistake I caught, in the chat, Thora is asked if she has siblings and replies "yes, I have a 10 year old brother named Kian", Kian? As far as I know Thora's brother's name is Bolt. Typing mistake? Maybe Bolt has 2 names: Bolt Kian Birch? Well anyway, go ahead and read it yourself.

Well, I saw the European Music Awards (Stockholm) and Thora presented the award for "Best Dance", which Madonna won, Thora seemed kind of excited because Madonna won. Thora was wearing a black blouse (which left one of her shoulders completely open)and a black shiny skirt. Thora's date was apparently Jason Priestley (they were sitting together), who actually may be Thora's Mystery Man (the one of the imdb.com news article). I believe it may be him because he is british (she mentioned the mystery man was british), but I don't really know for sure, I do think (still don't know for sure) he was her date because she was sitting next to him and because of a picture courtesy of Amanda G. which was taken at the awards and which had as caption the following: "Cheeky Chums Jason Priestley gets cozy with actress Thora Birch"
