Training Process

  • Three Stage programme focusing on Customer Service, Sales, Administration, Leadership and Marketing
  • End of month assessments, head office training, workshops, role plays and one-on-one’s
  • Strong emphasis on self-development and training at timescale determined by individual
  • Completing graduate training scheme enables application to roles such as vehicle acquisition, vehicle remarketing, HR training department and managerial roles at the daily rental level in any office nationwide

My Enterprise career

  • Management Trainee at New Malden in November 2005. Worked in conjunction with other local offices in Guildford and Aldershot
  • Awarded placement onto Airport Best Person Plan in June 2005 to complete Stage Three of training developing knowledge of different business practices at Heathrow airport.
  • Completed training at Heathrow in December and promoted to Management Assistant at New Malden in January 2006.

Skills gained through training

  • Customer service – An Enterprise management trainee cannot be promoted until the branch they work at records an ESQi (Enterprise Service Quality index) score of completely satisfied customers above corporate average of 78%. Understanding the needs and requirements of individual customers is crucial to developing sales whilst delivering superior customer service ensures customer satisfaction
  • Marketing – Management trainees are given the responsibility to manage and nurture new accounts in the local area. These accounts may include small businesses and body shops. Trainees are encouraged to foster successful relationships with accounts. Trainees have to understand the needs of the account and in every way possible provide a bespoke solution to them
  • Profitability – An integral part of the management training is daily analysis of the ‘per unit analysis’. We understand what our gross costs are, where are income comes from and what we can do as a team and an individual to increase our profitability
  • Organisation – Trainees develop the ability to manage their time effectively in a fast paced, chaotic environment where unexpected events often happen.
  • Training – Trainees are encouraged to mentor, train, develop and manage other staff creating a more efficient, closely bound and ultimately more profitable branch
