If you want to uninstall Yahoo! Messenger from your computer, do the following:

1. First, exit Yahoo! Messenger completely. If you don't, the un-installation process will fail.
2. Click the "Start" button on your taskbar.
3. Select "Settings" and then "Control Panel."
4. Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon.
5. Scroll down and select "Yahoo! Messenger."
6. Press the "Add/Remove..." button.
7. Choose the "Automatic" uninstall option and press the "OK" button.
