Pierre had absolutely no conception under God of what he had just gotten himself into. Pierre was good, but he was still mortal, and he was fighting the oldest immortal on earth.
Obviously, even though Methos could have put an end to this quickly, he decided to toy with Helen.
They fought for few minutes before Methos disarmed him and put his sword against the man's throat.
"For the love of God don't do this!" Helen said.
"And why shouldn't I?" He said. "You deserve it."
"But he doesn't." She said, as she looked down upon Pierre, her husband, the man she loved. Then remembered briefly stabbing Aikaterna to death and killing her child.
She let go of her sword, and dropped to her knees next to him. "Methos please. Take me if you will but let him go."
Methos looked intently at the woman who had robbed him of everything he held dear, and considered her plea for a moment. Then he thought briefly of Aikaterna and his adoptive daughter. In the end, his rage and desire for revenge won out, and he slit the mans throat.
"No!" She cried as his sliced through Pierre's throat and blood started to flow. "You bastard."
He lifted the sword, preparing to take her head, when suddenly, he was surrounded by police.
"This isn't over!" Methos said as they dragged him away.
