| TheThe young man was gorgeous, he had a mass of long thick rich dark hair, and the palest blue eyes that Lestat had ever seen. He had an adorable shy smile that captivated him immediately, and Lestat de Lioncourt decided he had to have this man, come hell or high-water. He was not in the least bit dissuaded by the fact that this young had caught Louis' fancy, if nothing else it made him all the more delictable in Lestat's eyes. So Lestat followed him home that evening, invited himself in, and attacked him like a savage beast, and turned this young man, a 26 year old by the name of Dominic into a vampire. Louis just so happened to walk in on this scene, and Lestat's fledgling was irate. As Dominic lied there, his body undergoing the transformation into a vampire, Louis was screaming at his maker. "You knew I liked him, how could you do this to me, Lestat? How could you hurt me like this? Damn it I hate you." "I love you to Louis." Lestat replied. "I only did what you couldn't bring yourself to do. He was simply to utterly delicious to leave in his mortal state." "I would drive a stake through your heart if I knew it would kill you." Louis replied. "Well you already tried to set me on fire, that would be a new one." Lestat said. "Why dont you go off and pout somewhere else? In the meantime, I am going to teach Dominic how to feed." Lestat took Dominic out to feed, and found much to his satisfaction that the young man was a quick study. He was also just as savage as Lestat himself, much to his delight. He was not proving to be difficult and insisting on feeding on rats like Louis did. Lestat was estatic. Dominic was another chance for him to do this maker fledgling thing correctly. In the past he had always messed it up. He lost Nicholas under very sad circumstances which he didn't like to contemplate. Claudia had been his biggest blunder of all. But none of his fledglings had hurt him more than Louis had. Lestat's first order of business was to introduce Dominic to Armand. "Isn't he just adorable?" Lestat said, as if he were a new mother showing off a baby and not a maker showing off a fledgling. "Stop it Lestat your embarrassing me." Dominic said to his maker. "Oh quit your whining, your reminding me more and more of Louis everyday." Lestat said. Armand got Lestat alone for a few minutes and said. "Louis is not very happy with you, you know that dont you? He wanted Dominic for himself." "Well I got him first so he is just going to have to deal with it." Lestat replied. "And your just jealous because Daniel hates you." Armand raised an eyebrow at that. "Yeah, right, whatever you say Lestat. The next night, Lestat left a single long stemmed rose on top of Louis' coffin and lined the inside of it with rose petals. He felt like a total moron but he wanted to get his fledlgings attention and let him know that he was still his favorite. He planned it perfectly, so that when Louis' came back he followed him inside. "What is this Lestat?" Louis said. "No rest for the wicked?" "If your tired go lay down." Lestat said to Louis. Louis noticed the rose on top of his coffin, and smiled. "It doesn't say do not open until christmas." Lestat said as Louis picked up the rose. Taking the hint, Louis opened the coffin and said. "Are you trying to sweeten me up?" "Um, maybe, yes..." Lestat said with a smile. "What about Dominic?" Louis said. "Forget about Dominic for a moment." Lestat said. "He's not important." Lestat moved over to his fledglings side, opened the coffin for him and pushed him inside with a thud. "Oh, Lestat, this is all so...sudden." Louis said with a smile. Lestat pierced Louis throat and gently began to drink. "Sudden, if anything, Louis I have waited far too long for this." |
