| Helen could still her the word's of Darius ringing in her head like a prophecy come true, "Your love for him will be your undoing." These words came back to haunt her several hundred years later, when she would do something that would drive a wedge between them forever. Over the years, as immortal couples tend to do, Helen and Methos grew apart. The passage of time was enough to test the nerves of the best of couples, so after a while, they simply had to remove themselves from one another. Methos easily got on with his life and got married to a beautiful Greecian woman of high social standing. Together they adopted an infant daughter. But Helen on the other hand bacame spiteful and vindictive. She saw the actions of Methos as a betrayl of the love that they had shared, and she ploted her revenge. The Lady Aikaterna was caring for the infant child when Helen came. She gave the child to one of her maids, instinctively, and charged the woman to leave with the child. She was only partially compliant. She hid, out of the sight of the woman, and watched the frightful exchange which took place. The struggle which ensued between the two woman was short lived, Aikaterna being no match for a female immortal whom Methos trained himself. Soon Helen had stabbed Aikaterna in a jealous rage, setting off a chain of events which nearly led to her destruction. The maid ran as quickly as she could with the child, seeking help from the first soul she encountered. Previous Next |
