| Shapeshifters have a few other remarkable traits. We are good at hiding ourselves from other vampires, except for the oldest of our kind, who cannot be fooled by our clever antics, and believe me I have tried. Not only do we have the ability to shift our shapes from one thing to another, we can shift locations as well, allowing us to travel remarkable distances in just a matter of seconds. But if we are not careful about it, and do not focus completely and entirely on the shift, we could end up in forbidden territory where we could be killed on sight, or in a part of the world where the sun has already risen and the consequences of that as you know would be disasterous |

I have the ability to change my appearance, but it is only an illusion that weak minded individuals see, the true changelings are few in number, and you can always tell them apart from us by the flawless efortless way they change their appearance from one thing to another. One of my fledglings, the once beautiful Lydia, was cursed to have a true face so horrifc looking that any mortal who gazed upon it would die of fright. That is where the legend of Medusa came from.
