By definition, a legend is, "A notable person whose deeds or exploits are much talked about in his/her own time."  This is such a brief definition of the word legend.  That does not sum up totally what a legend is, or what being a legend entails, certainly not in the professional wrestling world at least.  Legends are men that exude a certain confidence everywhere they go.  When they walk into a room they attract the attention of everyone.  Whether the people there can see you or not, they know you have entered.  They can feel it in their blood, in their bones, in their hearts.   When a legend enters a room everyone takes notice, and everyone wishes they could be half of what they are.  Everyone wishes they had the 'it' that makes them so great.  Legends have a way about them of making anyone and everyone want to be them.   The 'it' is very special.  Many people speak of the 'it' in professional wrestling.  Some people have it, and those people are the people that become legends.   Those are the people that people will remember, not just now, but forever.   When a person is just starting out in this industry, it is easy to tell who has the 'it' factor and who doesn't.  Even though they might not be finely tuned, even though they might not be everything that is expected of them when they first start, it is easy to tell they will be.  People without the 'it' factor can often be very good, but there is something missing.  That thing that is missing is the thing that will keep them behind.  They can often be very good, make a great living, but they will never be able to take that next step in not only the wrestling world, but in the world in general.

Is Michael Edwards a legend?  Yes.  Is Shadow a legend?  Yes.  Is Minds Eye a legend?   Yes.  Is Nic Totopoulous a legend?  Maybe.  In the eyes of some he might be.  In the eyes of others he might still have something to prove.  In the eyes of others his legacy might be tarnished by this comeback he is currently making.   In the eyes of others, he never would have been a legend, with or without this comeback.  Some people feel he has 'it', others do not.

Nicky Mills.   Legend?  Maybe.  Maybe not.  Some think Nicky Mills is already a legend, and nothing he does, whether it be good or bad, from here to the end of his career is going to change that.  Nicky Mills has done some incredible things in his life which would certainly warrant him being a legend.  Some people might not think it is enough though.  If Nicky Mills is not a legend yet, he will be by the time his career is over, because he has 'it'.

Is this match, Nicky Mills versus Nic Totopoulous a legend versus legend match?  Perhaps.  Perhaps it is not though.  This is a match that is highly anticipated though by all wrestling fans.  These two men have never met one on one, and it should be an epic battle that all wrestling fans will watch.

............

[Nic Totopoulous is seen sitting on a patio in a lawn chair in a backyard.  This is presumably his backyard.  The freshly cut green grass shimmers in the light from the sun.   Totopoulous lies with his legs outstretched on this chair, a table next to him with an ice cold Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale resting on it.  Next to the beer is a glass of iced tea in a tall glass.  Totopoulous is wearing a pair of shorts with an old beat up pair of running shoes on his feet.  The shoes are green and covered in grass clippings.  He reaches for the bottle and takes a nice long slow sit up the beer.  He puts it back on the table and sighs.  He leans back and closes his eyes.  He only closes them for a moment before his beautiful girlfriend Miranda comes walking from around the corner in his direction.  She is a wearing shorts, a tank top, shoes covered in soil and gardening gloves which are also covered in soil.   Totopoulous hears her coming and opens his eyes to see her walking toward him.   He smiles as she walks over and gives him a short kiss.  She takes a seat in the chair on the opposite side of the table.  She picks up the glass of iced tea and sips it through the straw.  He puts the glass back down and looks straight at Totopoulous.]

Miranda - The lawn looks great honey.  I think we've almost got things ready for the summer.  But am I ever glad it isn't cold today.

Totopoulous - No kidding.   It's May and it's barely breaking ten degrees most days.  However with twenty three today, it's alright.

We should have gone to the beach or something.  I mean you don't have to work today, and I'm taking a sick day.

Ya, you're right.  It's too nice.  But we have too much work to do around the house.  I mean we're not done yet.  The grass is cut and the garden is started, but I've still got to finished fixing that stupid fence.

True enough.  Ya, there's a lot of work to do.

We should hire someone to do it for us.

Hey, I know we can afford it, but we should learn to live like...  Sorry, you should learn to live like a normal person.  You've lived like a king with all your money for too long.   You're spoiled.

I know, but I like it that way.  Ha!  Ha!

Ya right.  We'll save some of this money you're making wrestling, and we'll be set for the rest of our lives.

That sounds like a great plan.

Is it a good payoff on Sunday?

Meh, it's the usual.   The big payoffs come with Pay Per Views usually.  That's why I think I'm going to have to wrestle Lyricz at the next Pay Per View again.  We kind of have unfinished business, and I'd not only like to settle it, but get some decent cash too.

Lyricz again?  I don't like that Nic.

Don't worry, I know how to take care of myself in there.  I've lived in wrestling long enough to know how to take care of myself.

What about this guy Nicky Mills?  What's he all about?

Ummm...  I guess he's one of those guys I've always wanted to wrestle, but never got the chance.  He's been around for a long time, and it's kind of weird the way things have gone with this guy.   Well with he and I anyway.  We've both wrestled for a while in both TNT and UWA at our respective times, and never did our paths cross in a one on one confrontation, as far as I can remember anyway.  I've been in so many matches, I can't remember who I've wrestled and who I haven't half the time.  Unless it was very early on in Nicky's career, then I don't think I've ever wrestled him one on one.

[Miranda lifts up her glass and takes another sip of iced tea through the straw as she continues to listen to Nic Totopoulous explain his views on Nicky Mills.]

He's a guy though that I respect as a wrestler.  When he's in the ring I totally respect what he's doing, I know he's a talented wrestler.  I've seen him many times in the ring, and I know what he's all about.  He's one of those guys that knows how to win.  He's won many titles, and that's because he's good.  Like I said, as a wrestler I respect him.   As a person it's a little different.  I've talked with the guy on many occasions, and he seems like a nice enough guy.  He's a little full of himself at times, but that's probably one of the reasons he's so good.  He thinks he can beat anyone, and that's an good attitude to have to be successful.  I don't necessarily believe in all of his values in life.  He lives a pretty luxurious lifestyle, a lifestyles I used to enjoy.

Hey, you chose this remember?

I didn't mean it like that.   I love the way we live.  This is exactly what I imagined my life would be like when I was kid.  Of course when I was a kid I didn't think I'd be a professional wrestler either, but hey, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I'm glad you're happy.

This guy Nicky Mills though, he talks a lot.  Sometimes I don't think he looks at the other side of the equation. He often sees his side of the story and no one else's.  He thinks it's a mistake that I think I'm going to beat him.  I don't understand how that's a mistake?  If I didn't think I'd win, I just wouldn't wrestle him, that simple.  Why would I embarrass myself with everything I've accomplished by being beaten without putting up much of a fight?  If I lose, I'll know I'll lose trying and I'll be able to keep my self respect.  If I didn't think I could win again, I would have never come back to wrestling.  I just feel I have something to offer to the wrestling community and it's fans.

[Totopoulous lifts the bottle of beer and takes another long slow sip.  He sighs again as he replaces it on the table.]

I've changed Miranda.   I look at Nicky Mills and I see me from two or three years ago.  Arrogant, young, cocky, athletic, living the high life.  I see a lot of promise in him because he wants to take the world on all at once, and that's what I was like.  I was never scared, never worried and lived every moment like it was my last.  That's what Nicky Mills is doing right now.  I know some day he'll grow out of it just as I did.

I know, you were terrible back then.  I've seen some of the tapes.  Some of the things you said and did, I wouldn't have never believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself.

That's what Nicky's like.   It's alright though.  He's a good kid, and I wish him luck on Sunday.  I know he's going to threaten to do this and that and the other thing, but I know what he's all about, and he doesn't worry me.  I've been ready for almost every match in my career, and this one won't be any exception.

That's great to hear.   Want to see the gardening I've been doing out front?

Of course I do.

You still need to mow the front lawn.  It hasn't been done yet this year and it's in pretty rough shape.   You have to fix the fence too.

I know, let me finish my beer first.

Okay.

[Totopoulous picks up the beer and gets up from his chair.  Miranda gets up from her chair as well.  The two of them walk across the lawn to the gate.  Totopoulous opens the gate for Miranda and she walks through to the front.  Totopoulous follows her through and shuts the gate door of the white picket fence.  The scene fades as Miranda shows Totopoulous her gardening.]
