[Kick Start my Heart by Motley Crue plays in the background as a montage of Nic Totopoulous begins to play.  It is all the highlights of his wrestling career.  This includes footage of his winning the NCW Intercontinental title, the TNT Wrestling U.S. Title twice, the UWA TV Title, the UWA US title twice, the UWA Undisputed title, the TNT Wrestling World title, and it finished with Nic Totopoulous holding the TNT Wrestling World Heavyweight title belt over his head as the scene fades to black.

Then Degenerated by The Lone Rangers begins to play.  A man standing in a suit behind a podium begins to speak as the music fades.]

Man - Welcome everyone to this very special documentary on the wrestling career of a man everyone knows as Nic Totopoulous.   I am Gene Sutherland.

Nic Totopoulous is probably best known for his years wrestling with the UWA and TNT Wrestling.  There he has been able to excel and display his skills at his highest level.   All throughout his career Nic Totopoulous has been a man with a dream.  That dream was to become the World Heavyweight Champion.  Well, that dream has been realized.

Nic Totopoulous was born January 30, 1979.  He was born to the name of Jonathan James Johnson in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.  Ever since he was a child he was an adoring wrestling fan.  He loved to watch wrestling, and always wanted to be a professional wrestler.  In High School at Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School, Nic was the captain of the Senior Hockey team and the amateur wrestling team.  He was a decent hockey player, but the team did terribly.  On the other hand, his amateur wrestling skills were great.  He finished first in the province out of all the students in his weight class.

[It cuts to a scene with Nic sitting in a chair wearing a white and black shirt.]

Nic - As much as I loved hockey, I was just a better amateur wrestler.

As soon as he went to the nationals he only finished sixth and decided to end his amateur wrestling career.  He finished the school year and graduated.  Over the summer and through the winter and spring of the year 2000 and 2001, he moved out to Calgary and trained in the dungeon of Stu Hart.   There he was toughened up and learned to become the terrific wrestler he is today.

He was first noticed in the United States by a company called TNT Wrestling.  He started things off with a bang soon becoming a big name in the company.  His terrific skill allowed him to surpass a number of wrestlers and move to the main event very quickly.  He soon became a two time United States Champion and feuded primarily with Stonehart and Aussie Wonder.

You know I was competing with two of the most skilled wrestlers I have ever seen.  Stonehart and Aussie Wonder were terrific.  I learned a lot working with them.  That triple cage match I had with Aussie was one of the best of my career.

Shadow - Nic showed very quick development in the ring.  There was no way that I could deny what he deserved.

Then Nic made an abrupt exit from TNT Wrestling and signed with a new upcoming wrestling company called Net Championship Wrestling.  This was to be an innovative wrestling company where all of the shows would be aired on the internet rather than on television.  It appeared to be going pretty well acquiring great talent such as Vic Venom, Smoke, Jeremy "The Iceman" Xero and Daniel Mendoza.  NCW was quickly put on the map, for about three months.   After two and a half months of going no where, although he was the International Champion, Nic Totopoulous left and went back to TNT Wrestling.  A week after Nic left NCW, it went under.

I had to get out of NCW, it was a sinking ship for sure.

Back in TNT Wrestling Nic was pushed right to the main event to compete with the likes of Blader Skum who held the TNT Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship for a few months now.  He was to be the saviour and take away that belt.  One day before the Pay Per View where Nic was to contend against Blader Skum, the company folded.

Well, I had no idea that it was going to close.  I showed up at the arena and they told me it was canceled and that the company had folded.  I was dumbfounded.

Then Blader Skum gave him a call not long after the closing of TNT Wrestling and told him that there were try-outs for the United Wrestling Alliance.

Blader Skum - How can I deny such talent?  He was really good.  What can I say?  He belonged in the UWA.

Blader had already been there and made a name for himself.  Nic Totopoulous went to the try-out and was an instant success.   He was hired right away and the UWA management knew that he was something special.   They knew that he was something that would make the UWA proud.

Ron Rose - When Nic was hired he looked like he could be headed for something huge.  He impressed everyone on staff.  We knew he had what it takes to be great.

Boy did he ever.  Not long after he joined the UWA he was a Television Champion.  While the champ he feuded with Jason Jet in an angle where Jet stole his belt.  This is what, along with his outstanding ring work put him on the map.

I never had a good feud in the UWA until Jason Jet stole my belt.  He helped to make Nic Totopoulous who he is today.  Otherwise I might still be working the under card.

Not long after Nic was told that he should drop the TV title.  He didn't know why but went along with it.  Soon after when he defeated Eddie Draven in a fatal four way match he had his answer.  He was the new United States Champion.  I don't think he expected this approval so soon in his career, but he deserved it.

You know it was a surprise at first.   I really didn't expect anything more than I actually had.  Blader, who I was good friends with, and Mike Edwards who I was also friends with told me that I had what it takes to be great.  I only followed their advice.  Another person was X-Kal.   He was great for me.  Actually, Wall2K also helped a great deal.  But Blader and Mike really were two of the best mentors I could have had.

Michael Edwards - You knew Nic had something to him.  It was just up to him to make the best of it.

This was only the beginning of the Nic Totopoulous greatness.  But soon after Nic Totopoulous lost the US title to T-Money in a very controversial decision backstage.

I wasn't happy at first, but then I was told what I had in store for me and I changed my tune.

John Proctor - He was gonna be the champ.  What morre is there to say?

Nic had World Championship gold soon to come.  Then a change in management came and Nic was soon again the US Champ.

I soon was the US Champ again and was afraid that I was going to be stuck there.  But then I was reassured that I was going to be World Champ.  I mean hey, how can I say no to that?

Shawn Freeman - Let me tell you, he was going to help takke the UWA to the promise land.  He has made us proud.

Nic, not long after won the vacated Undisputed Championship against Freedom Morelez.  This was the shining moment of his career.  He then feuded with Kevin Cosmos who he soon lost the belt to.

Hey, feuding with Kev was great.  He is great at what he does, which only helps me look better.

Nic finished his feud with Kevin Cosmos, and was soon mixing it up with Maniac.  Maniac and he took violence and stories to a new level.  The two had a very elaborate story that had the people of UWA talking.

You know, that was a really fun feud.  Maniac and I were allowed to do whatever we wanted.  It was great.

Nic and Maniac finished their feud, and Nic was left with nothing left for him in the UWA.  He soon left the UWA on good terms, and signed a deal with his first wrestling company, TNT Wrestling.  He was destined for big things upon his return to TNT Wrestling.  There was a World Title tournament that would span a month.  The matches occured on Mayhem leading up to the first Pay Per View of the new TNT Wrestling era.

Marcel - Most people thought that Nic was going to win that title right from the start, and most people were right.  He dominated that entire tournament.

Nic worked his way through the tournament.  In the final of the tournament, Nic Totopoulous competed in a ladder match against the one and only Brian Kraemer.  In a hard fought battle, Nic emerged victorious and finally his dream was fulfilled.  He finally won his TNT Wrestling World Title.

It was the greatest day of my life.  Enough said.

Through the next five months, Nic competed against all on comers.  These men included Brian Kraemer, Big Boss, Cappy, and many others that tried to take his World Title.  He seemed to be unstoppable.  Then he met his match.  He met his match in White Thunder.

Big Boss - Nic was on such a high for five straight months.  He was nearing the end of his run.  There was no way he would be able to keep it up forever.

White Thunder defeated Nic and took his title.  White Thunder would enjoy a one month reign as champion, but he didn't have the staying power that Nic had.  He soon lost the title to the legendary Michael Edwards, all the while Nic bided his time and waited for his next opportunity to get his title back.  Then in an angle that many would consider to be very controversial, Nic kidnapped Michael Edwards' girlfriend Sarah Stratigias.

It was the chance we took.  Mike didn't have a problem with the angle, so I figured why not.  It would put a lot of heat back in the main event picture.

That is exactly what it did.  Nic and Michael Edwards were soon the talk of the nation.  They all wanted to see the beautiful Sarah home safe.  Nic and Edwards had a match to settle their differences, and Nic won the match and took the title with him.  This match led to the retirement of Michael Edwards, a moment that will not be forgotten.

Mike was one of the best in the business, that's all there is to say about it.

Michael Edwards - I knew that my time was over, and Nic wass going to take the reigns and become a huge star and a future all of famer.

Nic was on his way to super stardom.  He was placed in a feud with Big Boss and Jonny Fly.  Both of these men were ready to take the ball in TNT Wrestling and run with it.  The staff was unsure as to who should run with the ball, so they picked two men.  They picked both Jonny Fly and Nic Totopoulous.

Jonny Fly - My career was on the rise, and I knew his was too.  This was the right thing to do.  It also put a lot of emphasis on the World Title picture.  It worked out very well.

This feud would be heated for the entire month, but not as much so as management would have hoped.  Then at the Pay Per View, Nic dropped the title to Jonny Fly.

Fly was ready to burst out and become a major player.  He had the potential, and his track record in the UWA proved it.

TNT Wrestling was looking to continue something that had been unsettled for some time.  They were looking to rekindle a feud that had gone on for years.  They were looking to finish off Nic Totopoulous versus Blader Skum.  It had been brewing for so long, it was time that TNT Wrestling took advantage.

Blader Skum - I was waiting for the day that they'd lett me finish off this tension between the two of us.  Nic and I had such a past, it was going to be something special to say the least.

Nic and Blader Skum were just about to have their first match in a sequence of many.  The match was to go down as a draw, and they would feud leading up to the next Pay Per View.  It was going to be a feud of monumental proportion.  The first match started, then it happened.  Nic had a terrible accident during the match.  He was attempting to perform a moonsaullt, when he slipped off the top turnbuckle and landed on his back.  He folded in half and broke a section in the lower vertebrae.  Nic lay motionless for many minutes as the paramedics came down to his aid.  He was conscious the entire time, but had no feeling in his feet and legs.

They took me backstage and the whole time I was wondering what was wrong.  I couldn't feel my legs, it was the scariest feeling.

Nic was taken to the hospital, and has now been forced to live the rest of his days in a wheelchair, never to walk again.  Thank for you tuning in to this episode.  Next time we will take a look at the personal life of Nic Totopoulous over his wrestling career.  We will go behind the scenes and tell you everything you ever wanted to now about Nic Totopoulous.  Until next time, I'm Gene Sutherland.
