[Nic Totopoulous is seen walking through the hallway backstage at a TNT Wrestling non-televised live event.  He is dressed in his regular ring attire, and has his blonde hair down.  Something he is missing is his TNT Wrestling World Title belt, it's no where to be seen.  Just then Joe Shmoe walks over to him.  He too is in his wrestling attire, and has his blonde hair down.  Shmoe walks right over to Totopoulous.]

Hey Nic man, what's going on?

Have you seen Fly anywhere?

No.

All right good.

What's the problem?

Fly is going to be after me now, so is Gravedigger, have you seen him?

No.

They're going to want to take that belt away from me.  I can't let them do that.  They'll double team me and take it away.  You know how much it means to me.  I've had belts stolen in the past, but none more important than this one.  I can't let them take this away from me man.  It's way to valuable.  I know that Fly and Digger think that we're co-champions or some garbage, but it's not true at all.  It's not true, it's not!  I am the one and only true champion of the world.  I am, not Fly!  In the case of a draw, the champion retains, that's the way it's always been, and that's the way it always will be.

So where's your belt right now?  Why don't you have it with you?  You never leave it from your site.

I didn't bring it with me.  I know what Digger and Fly would do.  They're crazy, they'll do anything to take it away from me.  He's a teenager on a power trip, and Digger keeps feeding his ego.  They'd try and take it for certain.  So I left it at home, where no one can get it but me.  I wasn't going to risk Fly taking my belt.  I was at a photo shoot the other day, and Fly was there to take my belt.  If it wasn't for my quick feet, I would have been attacked from behind by both Digger and Fly.  I know I can take on either of them face to face, but two on one from behind?  I wasn't liking my chances very much.

Well I wouldn't like them either if I were you.  But what about me?  I just had another match against a nobody and won, of course.  I mean when am I going to get the respect I deserve?  I've been busting my ass for a long time now trying to get a job here.  The roster is getting filled with no talent hacks, and here I am, the most talented of all the prospects still beating bums that couldn't even hold my jock strap.  Nic, I'm getting tired of this.

To be honest with you, I'm getting tired of hearing you complain about it.

What?!?

You heard me.  All you ever do is complain, "I don't have a job", "I'm better than everyone", "This isn't fair".  Well you know what?  You're right, it's not fair.  I'm so sick of hearing you complain, I'm going to give you your opportunity to tell the world how you feel.  What we'll do, is we'll go down to the ring, and you can talk all you want about your skills, how you deserve a job, about everything.  I will do that for you.  You can plead your case for Shadow, Marcel, and Gravedigger.  You can tell them everything you need to tell them to get the job that you deserve.

Really?  Thanks man.

Don't mention it.

I won't.  So let's go.

Go where?

Down to the ring.  We can do it right now.

Actually we can't.  I don't have ring time right now.  I do however have ring time at our next show.

Excellent, I can't wait.

I'm sure you can't.  You just came back from the ring right?

Ya man.

How'd you do?

How do you think?

Ya, that's a good point.

So what are you going to do about Fly?

Well, I'll let him blow off some steam.  I know he's never going to get over what happened, but hell, it happened.  There isn't much anyone can do about it.  If he wants a rematch, I'll be more than willing to give him one.  I've beaten him before, and I'll do it again.  I know I can beat him, and that's all I need.  Fly has never beaten me, and he never will.

What are you going to do about Gravedigger?

What is there to do?  He can say whatever he wants.  He thinks we might still be friends?  Ya, I don't think so.  When he turned his back on me back during my first run as the World Champion, our friendship ended.  I never talk with him anymore, and I don't want to talk with him anymore.  He has aligned himself with Jonny Fly, a man that I despise.  He gave up hope that I could be something special.  He made a mistake.  He teamed up with the wrong guy.  He teamed up with the one and only person he thought could beat me.  Well he was wrong.  He should have never teamed up with anyone other than me Joe.  If we were still a team, if we were still P.U.N.K.S., nothing could stop us.  But that is the past.  Besides, I was never really a punk anyway.  I mean all the punk music, it's all garbage.  The true music is the music from the eighties.  I mean rock was rock back then.  Motley Crue, Metallica, Megadeth, Poison, Scorpions, Danzig, Armored Saint, Guns 'N Roses, Skid Row, Twisted Sister, Triumph, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Anthrax, Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne...

Ya...  Thanks...  I got it.

Man, now that is great music.  None of this AFI, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Sublime garbage.  It's all trash.  The only reason I pretended to like it is because I knew he could help my career.  The truth is that I used him as much as he used me.  I used him to help make a name for myself.  Then he used me to hold on to that star that was fading quickly for him.  When I knew for certain there was nothing left for him, I dumped him like a bad habit.  He couldn't help me anymore, so I got rid of him.  It was that simple.

Well I've got to hand it to you, it was the right decision.  I mean look at you now, and look at him.  You're the second best...

Second best?

Well, you are the World Champion.  You know as well as I do thought that I'm the best.

Oh right, of course.

[Totopoulous rolls his eyes.]

As I was saying.  You are the World Champion in the biggest company in the world.  What is he?  He's some second rate wrestler's sidekick.  He's not even his manager, he's Fly's sidekick.  Fly probably doesn't even like him.  Fly's probably using him because he's the commissioner.  Now let's face it, the commissioner makes no decisions anyway.  The truth is that Marcel and Shadow make all the decisions around TNT Wrestling.  Digger doesn't nothing, and I mean nothing.  Maybe he books a match or two, but the big money deals are all Marcel and Shadow.

You couldn't be more right.  I've walked past Digger office.  I've seen him sleeping behind his desk.  He's got his feet up and his eyes closed.  He has no stroke around here.  I'm the World Champion, I have more stroke than he does.  I make the decisions around here, I have all the leverage.  If I don't like something, then TNT Wrestling has just lost their biggest star.  TNT Wrestling has everything to lose if they don't bow to my every demand.

Ha!  Ha!  Man that's awesome.  So where's my job then?

I told you what I'd do for you.

Ya, ya, I know.  So what about this Mark Vincent guy?  What are you going to do about him?  He seems pretty confident.

I'm not worried about him.  I know he's confident, and I like that about him.  The one thing I don't like about him is that he assumes a little too much.  I don't know where he got the idea that I was going to be a push-over.  I'm the World Champion for crying out loud.  I'm the best in the industry, and my belt proves it.  Where does this guy get off telling me that I'm nothing?  That he's better than me?  That he can out wrestle me and out-talk me?  No one talks smack better than I do, and no one backs it up in that ring better than I do.  And what is he talking about this big three?  There's no big there, there's no big four.  There is simply a big one, and that's me, Nic Totopoulous.  I'm the king of the castle and everyone has to try to knock me off.  There are a few stragglers behind me, then many more at the bottom of the hill.  I'm the only one though at the top of the hill.  There is no Big Boss, no Jonny Fly, and certainly no Marl Vincent along with me for the ride.

So will you go for his knee?

Do I look like an idiot?  Of course I am.  He tells me not to worry about it.  I'm not worried that his knee is hurt.  In fact I'm the opposite of worried about it.  If anyone should be worried, it's him.  I mean I watch tapes, I pay attention.  I know the battle he had with Judas, and I know that Judas is no slouch.  A victory over Judas is certainly impressive.  I know not to take Mark Vincent lightly.  I have been watching his tape, and I will go after his knee.  I know Joe, I know.  Don't worry, I'm not World Champion because I don't pay attention.  I'm the World Champion because of what I do in and out of the ring.  Vincent thinks I'm slipping?  I hope he does.  Then he might not come at me so hard.  Then I might get the night off.  How about that?  His first main event, and he gets embarrassed.  Only his second match.  I know he would make a great United States Champion.  As you know, I was the first ever United States Champion here in TNT Wrestling.  I won the first tournament.  I know how it feels.

Well if he does win it, he won't hold it for long.  I'll get my shot at it eventually.

Of course you will.  You are better than Vincent, and you'll take that title away from him, the same way I'll take his five minutes of fame away from him.

Well listen man, I appreciate everything you're doing for me.  I've gotta split though.  I've gotta get going.  I'm meeting someone soon, so I've gotta run.

All right man, take it easy then.

Cool, later Nic

Later Joe.

[Joe Shmoe walks past Nic Totopoulous and down the hallway.  Totopoulous turns and watches him for a moment.  Then he looks forward and continues his walk down the hall in the opposite direction as the scene fades to black.]
