[Nic Totopoulous is sitting around backstage in his locker room.  He is in his usual ring attire, and has his long blonde hair tied back.  He is sitting next to his TNT Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship belt, which is resting on top of his gym bag.  He picks up the title and places it folded on his lap.  He takes his cloth and begins to wipe down the shining gold plate on the front.  He continues to wipe it belt with the cloth for a moment longer.  He then places the cloth beside him on the bench.  He glares down at his World Title.  He then lifts it in the air with his right hand and looks into it.  He places his left hand on his chin and turns his head slightly to the side.  He grins as he looks at his reflection in the belt.  He then fixes his hair by places his bangs behind his ears as he looks into the belt.  He then looks back into belt, turns his head to the side slightly again and grins at the belt.  He then reaches out with his other hand and grabs the belt with both hands.  He places the belt up against his lips and his kisses it gently.  He places it back on his lap.  He takes the cloth and wipes it one last time.  He places it beside him on his gym bag.  Just then the someone knocks on the door.]

KNOCK!  KNOCK!

Come in.

[A TNT Wrestling official opens the door and sticks his head in the room.]

You're on Nic.  Tell the people whatever you want.

I always do.  I'll be right out.

[The official exits and closes the door behind him.  Nic Totopoulous gets up and takes a deep breath.  He looks down at his title.

He lifts it up gently with both hands.  He looks down at it.  He then cradles it in his arms.  He begins to speak to it.]

You are my baby.  You mean everything to me, and I'll do anything to keep you.  You are what makes me tick, you're what makes me alive.  If it weren't for you, I'd have nothing to live for.  You complete me.

[He grabs a Nic Totopoulous T-shirt and quickly puts it on.  He lifts the belt up and gently with both hands and kisses it once again.  He unfolds the belt and places it around his waist backwards.  He does up the snaps on the back.  He spins it around so it's facing the right way.  He walks over to the door, turns the handle, opens the door and steps out into the hall.  All around the hallway are wrestlers talking amongst each other, or talking with the many TNT Wrestling officials scattered down the hall.  At one end of the hall is a door, at the other end is a dead end.  Totopoulous makes a right and begins to walk towards the door.  As he approaches the door a TNT official stops him to talk with him for a moment.]

Listen Nic, I don't want to see any funny business tomorrow okay?  I know that you love that title, and I know that you'll do anything to keep it.  I'm just warning you that Marcel will be keeping an eye out on this match.  Any funny business and he'll be certain to intervien.  This is a huge match that he has a lot riding on.  There are a lot of people from outside the wrestling business that will be watching this, people Marcel wants to use with advertising the product.  They may not be too impressed if the World Champion stoops below the rules and cheats to win.

You don't have to worry.  This title does mean to world to me, and everyone knows that.  I'm not going to cheat to get a victory because I won't need to.  All I'll need to do is do what I do best, and that's wrestle.

That's what I like to hear.  Good fast paced action, and a true champion.

That's right, I am a true champion.

Good luck tomorrow.

Thanks.

[The TNT official walks past Totopoulous as Totopoulous watches him over his left shoulder.  The official walks through a door and out of sight.  Totopoulous gets a confident grin on his face, and he continues to walk down the hallway.  He gets to the door, opens it and walks through.  He looks out and sees the general backstage area.  More of the wrestlers and the officials are talking backstage.  Some of the stage crew, the video crew, the music crew, everyone.  Totopoulous continues to walk down the hall before he is stopped again, this time it's by an interviewer, Cole Matthews.  He is followed by a camera man and a mic guy.]

Hey Nic, I was wondering if I could get a quick interview.  I promise it'll be quick because I can see that you're heading somewhere important.

I am actually.  I've got a warm-up match in just a moment, actually right now, and that's where I'm heading.

All right.  I've only got a couple of questions anyway.  I'll make it fast, I promise.

All right then.

Well Big Boss and Jonny Fly are taking house shows off this weekend.  They say that they will be able to better train if they aren't worried about matches they have at house shows.  As long as they con focus at the task at hand, they'll be all right.

Well the way I train is to keep my mind clear.  When I go into a match like the one I will have in a moment, it helps relax me for my big match at the Pay Per View.  Some people like to analyse matches to death, not me.  I like to concentrate on the match just before I go out.  If I stress too much about it before hand, I get nervous.  These matches help me take my mind off of the match to when I do go out for that match, my mind is clear, and I can focus on the match.

Well what about training?  Big Boss and Jonny Fly are off training for this match.  They are studying tapes, training in the gym, getting mentally and physically prepared while you're here wrestling matches.

Well I am training.  It's not as if I'm not.  I do watch tapes, but not to death.  It makes me worry, so I do just enough to come up with some sort of game plan.  From what I understand, Fly doesn't do too much tape watching.  He might do a little, but just enough to know what he's up against.  Fly is a smart man, he knows what he needs to do to get ready, so does Big Boss.  While Big Boss might not have what it takes, he knows how to get as close as possible.  Dido for Jonny Fly.  I expect their best on Monday, and I hope for their best on Monday.

Both of these two men seem confident they'll be able to come up with a victory on Monday.  Both men have said that they will walk away with both titles.  How do you feel about this?

Well I feel fine about that.  Their confident, and that's a good thing.  Will either one of them walk away with both titles?  No.  Will I walk away with both titles?  Maybe.  I know I can if I play it right.  One thing is for certain though, I will walk away with my World Title.  It's the World Title that I'm all about.  I've wrestled both men, and I know what they're both all about.  I know that I can beat them because I have, now I just have to beat both of them at once.  A task that is a little more difficult, but possible none the less.  I know that I have to walk away with my World Title, it's what I llive for.  I eat, sleep, and breathe for the World Title.  It's the only thing in the world that I care about, and I'll do anything to keep it, anything.

Well thank you Nic for your time.  I'm certain the three of you will put on one hell of a show.  It really should be a classic.

Thank you, it will be.

Best of luck to you.

[Cole Matthews and his crew begin to walk away past Nic.  Nic turns around and gives him a strange look.  He shouts down the hallway at them.]

Luck?  I don't need luck.  I have everything I need right here to keep my title!

[Totopoulous looks down at his title.  He begins to rub it with his right hand.]

That's right, I've got everything I need to keep you where you belong.  You know where you want to be, and you'll stay there.  Right around my waist.  You're perfect there.

[Just then someone from the TNT Wrestling production crew walks up behind Nic.]

Who are you talking to?

[Totopoulous turns around with a surprised look on his face.]

Oh, no one.  I'm just... uhhh...  Nevermind!

All right.  Well you're up in just a second.  So get yourself ready.

[Nic Totopoulous removes his T-shirt and hands it to the production guy.  He rubs his belt for good luck.]

All right, I'm ready.

It's all you.  Your opponent is out there.

[Nic Totopoulous walks through the curtain and up a flight of stairs.

He waits at the entrance way for the music to start.  Kick Start my Heart by Motley Crue begins to blast throughout the arena.  The crowd begins to boo.  Nic Totopoulous takes a deep breath, and walks through the curtain.  The scene fades to black.]
