PSYCHO'S COMMENTARY

                           August 18th, 2001

Hello Everyone! I hope you all saw me on WWF Smackdown this week. Before I get into my whole Smackdown experiences and rants, might I add, let's get some other stuff out of the way.

My Movie Of The Week is "American Pie 2", starring Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, & Seann William Scott, among others. It's a great cast and it's a very funny movie. In a lot of ways it's just as funny as the original.

My Match Of The Week is Booker T & Rhyno vs. Chris Jericho & The Rock from WWF Raw. You all thought I was going to pick something from Smackdown didn't you? Well, you were wrong! There were a couple of good matches from Smackdown but they weren't as good as this match from Raw. Sorry. How's that for being non-biased? lol.

As you can all see, I have a new look to my website. I touched apon this in the message board but I just wanted to talk very briefly about it. I have a new e-mail address in case you haven't seen it. Send all mail for me to [email protected]. I won't be changing my e-mail again anytime soon. As long as I'm Psycho I will most likely have that as my e-mail address. The only way that's changing is if I sign with the WWF/WCW/ECW and they tell me to change it to something like WWFPsycho@.... or something LOL. Anyways, I hope you all like the new stuff on my site. If the autographed pictures sell well, then I will be adding Psycho t-shirts to my merchandise page if so desired. Would you all like to see that? Let me know.

Now it's time to talk about my WWF Smackdown experiences. First of all, earlier in the day some girl wanted to fluff my hair LOL. That was a first.  I arrived to the E-Center close to 4:00. I wasn't waiting long when I noticed Access Hollywood was there. They turned the camera on me, but they didn't interview me or anything. Just filmed me for like a minute. I don't know if they'll use that footage or not. But ya never know. You might see Psycho on Access Hollywood lol. Once we were let in I made my way down to my seat where I got my first look at the new Smackdown set. I have to say I liked it, although it reminded me of the old WCW Thunder set. Remember that? I realized right away that I had a good seat and that I was exactly opposite the main cameras. But as I was about to sit down I had my signs checked by security. They looked at 2 out of 3 of my signs which were "WWW.NICHARDY.CJB.NET", "Psycho = Ratings", and "Hi Niko" (which was saying hi to my brother). The first guy that was checking my signs said I couldn't have the "WWW.NICHARDY.CJB.NET" sign, because I can't advertise myself like that. And he didn't think I could have the "Psycho = Ratings" sign either for the same reason. I would be advertising myself. They said if it wasn't advertising the WWF, ECW, or WCW then I couldn't have it.  But they said if I was unsure about it to talk to one of their supervisors and if they cleared it then it was ok. So I did just that. I talked with one of their supervisors and they said I most definitely could not have the website sign, but that "Psycho = Ratings" was *ok*. They never even looked at my "Hi Niko" sign. None of them did. I'm glad they didn't see it. They might have taken it away too. Whatever happened to freedom of expression? I don't see them taking away any "Hi Mom" signs because it advertises the guy's mother! I think this is crap. Let's leave it at that. I then spotted and talked with as many other IPW wrestlers as I could find. Our promoter, Jamon, said something like he had a sign that said "IPW is here" and they wouldn't let him have that either. Crap? I think so. lol. I then saw them tell a guy he couldn't have a "Rocky Sucks" sign. I had heard about this happening at other shows and decided to question this. I asked them if it "was because it was of The Rock?" And they said "Pretty much. That's a big part of it." And I said "So signs that say Booker T sucks or DDP sucks are ok?" And they said "Yeah, they are alright." So I was thinking, so fans can only cheer and boo who the WWF wants them to? That sucks! What about Freedom Of Speech?? So the whole arena could bring a sign in saying "Rocky Sucks" and they'd take them all away and if we booed him they'd probably pipe in cheers to drown out the boos so everyone at home still thinks everybody loves him? I'm sorry, but I have a big problem with this. And what I found out next I had an even bigger problem with. I asked them "What about Stone Cold sucks signs, those are ok then too?" And they go "um...No, I don't think those are ok."  And I go "why not?" And they said "Because The Rock and Stone Cold are the WWF's biggest money makers" So now, not only are we not allowed to boo babyfaces, we are also not allowed to boo some *protected* heels! No wonder Austin was having problems getting over as a heel, the WWF won't let the fans boo the guy! Are you outraged yet? I know I am! Damn politics of wrestling. Crap? I think so! Big time crap. lol. So after being pissed off about all of this, but most by them taking my website sign away, I decided to sit and watch the show. They taped Sunday Night Heat matches for the taped UK version. And then Smackdown started. To make a long story short, (too late for that! LOL) I got on tv countless times. If you were watching I'm sure you saw me. How could you miss me? I had bright green hair! And by the way, the rating for Smackdown this week was higher than for last week's Smackdown. I guess Psycho really does = Ratings! LOL. WWF take note! Also during one of the commercial breaks I saw that Butterbean was in attendance. I also heard that Antoine Carr was in attendance too, but I can't confirm that. Here is who got cheered and booed the loudest. Hey, I was there...so to you they might have piped in boos or cheers. I will let you know the truth.
