PSYCHO'S COMMENTARY
Home
March 3rd, 2001

Hello Everyone! I'm really sorry this is so late. I've been so incredibly busy lately. As I write this, I am feeling pretty sore, but this commentary will not be short. I want to get the basics out of the way before I get into the main topic.

First of all, the Heber City show has been postponed until March 29th. This should already be posted in Appearances/News by the time you read this though. This will still most likely be my first "official" pro match.

I will be changing message boards as soon as I can. I will let you know when it changes or you will be able to tell, I'm sure. This will happen fairly quickly.

My Movie Of The Week is "With Honors", starring Joe Pesci and Brendan Fraser. I liked this movie a lot. I think most people would like it. It's also a movie where I felt I had learned something from watching it. I reccomend it.

My Match Of The Week is Steve Austin vs. Triple H, in a 2-out-of-3 falls match, at WWF No Way Out 2001. That match was an absolute classic! It is an early "Match Of The Year" contender. This match proved why Triple H and Steve Austin are two of the best in the entire wrestling industry.

Now it's time to discuss the main topic of this commentary, and I'm risking getting a bunch of people mad at me, so you've been warned. I hear all the time "I want to be in pro wrestling SO bad!" or "I just want to be a part of that world." My reply to those people is "Why?" And they reply "Because it seems like such a glamorous life." Well, let me tell you people something, it's not as glamorous as you make it out to be. If that's why you want to get into pro wrestling, then you might want to find a new dream. Driving 8 hours, staying in some run down hotel, to take a beating for a payoff of $30. Does that sound very glamorous? Which brings me to the people who want to get into wrestling for the money. These people will never make it. Struggling for years on the independent circuit, while making just enough to break even (if that) is not very profitable. Lots of these people are just dreamers and don't have a clue what it takes to be a pro wrestler. They don't know what a back bump feels like, or a chair shot, or anything. They want to be pro wrestlers but they have no idea what pro wrestling is *Really* about. They think it's just playing around and that it doesn't really hurt. And that's why I'm becoming a regular at the hospital right? I'm not even going into the backstage politics of wrestling and the training it takes to even get past the wrestling school...which many people can't endure and end up quitting. I'm only 20 years old but if I'm still wrestling when I'm 30 I'll be extremely lucky. Don't get me wrong though. You can not possibly know what pro wrestling is *Really* about until you are in it. I didn't. If any of you still want to get into this business and really have a love for it, and want to do it, no matter what, then go for it. You guys are the ones that will make it, but it's not going to be easy. I hope I get a chance to work with you guys before I retire. Laterz.
