Here is a complete list of every available power-up in the game, where to find them, and in certain instances, special instructions for finding them, all in one recommended order of pickup.
1. Missile Launcher: Chozo Ruins, Hive Totem. Destroy the Hive Mecha.
2. Energy Tank: Chozo Ruins, Transport Access North. It's behind the door after you get the Missile Launcher.
3. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Ruined Gallery. Blast a weak section of wall with a Missile.
4. Morph Ball: Chozo Ruins, Ruined Shrine. Defeat the Plated Beetle.
5. Energy Tank: Chozo Ruins, Main Plaza. Head back through the Hive Totem and Transport Access North to reach it.
6. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Landing Site. Roll into a crack in the wall right behind your ship.
7. Chozo Artifact: Tallon Overworld, Artifact Temple. Right out in the open.
8. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Transport Tunnel B. It's under the bridge.
9. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Watery Hall Access. Blast a weak section of wall to expose it.
10. Charge Beam: Chozo Ruins, Watery Hall. Scan four symbols around the hall, then scan the gate to drop it.
11. Morph Ball Bomb: Chozo Ruins, Burn Dome. Destroy the Incinerator Drone.
12. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Burn Dome. Bomb a small weak patch in the wall.
13. Energy Tank: Chozo Ruins, Furnace. Activate all three machines in the Energy Core.
14. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Dynamo. Return to where you got the Charge Beam and bomb a weak point in the wall.
15. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Ruined Shrine. Bomb a weak point in the wall.
16. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Ruined Nursery. Bomb the weak blocks to clear a path.
17. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Ruined Gallery. Bomb-boost yourself into a small tunnel.
18. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Vault. Open and activate three locks using bombs.
19. Varia Suit: Chozo Ruins, Sunchamber. Defeat Flaahgra.
20. Missile Expansion: Magmoor Caverns, Storage Cavern. You'll need to get under the grating in the Triclops Pit.
21. Energy Tank: Magmoor Caverns, Transport Tunnel A. Double Bomb Jump to the peak of the tunnel.
22. Boost Ball: Phendrana Drifts, Phendrana Canyon. Activate the floating platforms and jump across quickly.
23. Space Jump Boots: Tallon Overworld, Alcove. Use the Boost Ball in the Tallon Canyon to get there.
24. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Main Plaza. Easy to get with the Boost Ball.
25. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Ruined Shrine. Boost Ball up one side of the halfpipe.
26. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Gathering Hall. Bomb a gate above the door to the Energy Core.
27. Missile Expansion: Magmoor Caverns, Fiery Shores. You'll have to roll along a narrow metal track.
28. Chozo Artifact: Magmoor Caverns, Warrior Shrine. Extend a bridge at the Monitor Station using the Boost Ball.
29. Wave Beam: Phendrana Drifts, Chapel of the Elders. Defeat the Sheegoth.
30. Energy Tank: Phendrana Drifts, Ruined Courtyard. While the water is raised, bomb jump and roll into a tunnel above the first Spinner.
31. Super Missile: Phendrana Drifts, Observatory. Activate the planetary projector.
32. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Research Lab Aether. Roll along a conduit between the floors.
33. Energy Tank: Phendrana Drifts, Research Lab Aether. Blast open a holding tank.
34. Thermal Visor: Phendrana Drifts, Research Core. Deactivate three force fields.
35. Chozo Artifact: Phendrana Drifts, Control Tower. Blast some fuel tanks from a safe window. If it's frozen over, come back with the Plasma Beam.
36. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Research Lab Hydra. Blast open a holding tank with a Super Missile.
37. Spider Ball: Phendrana Drifts, Quarantine Cave. Defeat Thardus.
38. Energy Tank: Magmoor Caverns, Magmoor Workstation. Activate three Power Slots using the Wave Beam and Thermal Visor.
39. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Phendrana Shorelines. There's a power slot behind a Cordite wall hanging.
40. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Ice Ruins East. Look for a well-hidden Spider Ball track in the upper section.
41. Chozo Artifact: Chozo Ruins, Sunchamber. Return via the Sun Tower and defeat the Chozo Ghosts.
42. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Dynamo. Roll up the Spider Ball track.
43. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Ruined Fountain. Let the fountain boost you up to a Spider Ball track.
44. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Main Plaza. Blast open a tree with a Super Missile.
45. Wavebuster: Chozo Ruins, Tower of Light. Break the pillars on your way up.
46. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Crossway. Unlock a series of Spider Ball tracks.
47. Ice Beam: Chozo Ruins, Antechamber. Roll up out of the Reflecting Pool.
48. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Overgrown Cavern. In a patch of venom weed.
49. Gravity Suit: Phendrana Drifts, Gravity Chamber. The water may get you lost, but keep trying.
50. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Watery Hall. Sink under the water and look for a tunnel.
51. Chozo Artifact: Chozo Ruins, Tower Chamber. Sink into the water in the Tower of Light.
52. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Frigate Crash Site. It's under water; use the Thermal Visor.
53. Energy Tank: Tallon Overworld, Cargo Freight Lift to Deck Gamma. Blast a gate open.
54. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Biohazard Containment. Blast open a weak door with a Super Missile.
55. Energy Tank: Tallon Overworld, Hydro Access Tunnel. Double Bomb Jump in the water.
56. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Main Quarry. Power up the crane and let it break a stone precipice.
57. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Elite Research. The Pulse Cannon will expose one hiding behind a wall.
58. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Elite Control Access. Blast a crate on a ledge.
59. Power Bomb: Phazon Mines, Central Dynamo. Destroy the Cloaked Drone and thread your way through the electric maze.
60. Energy Tank: Phazon Mines, Ventilation Shaft. Activate the ventilation controls.
61. Grapple Beam: Phazon Mines, Storage Depot B. Align the yellow track in Ore Processing.
62. Chozo Artifact: Phazon Mines, Elite Research. Use a Power Bomb to wake the Phazon Elite Pirate, then kill it.
63. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Security Access A. Power Bomb a weak gate.
64. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Life Grove Tunnel. Use the Boost Ball to reach the top of the tunnel and bomb through it.
65. X-Ray Visor: Tallon Overworld, Life Grove. Right out in the open.
66. Chozo Artifact: Tallon Overworld, Life Grove. Raise a pillar and platform.
67. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Great Tree Chamber. The X-Ray Visor will reveal hidden platforms.
68. Energy Tank: Chozo Ruins, Hall of the Elders. Open and activate the white Morph Ball Slot.
69. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Furnace. Blast open a halfpipe and roll along Spider Ball tracks and conduits.
70. Power Bomb Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Magma Pool. Grapple over the pool and Power Bomb the wall.
71. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Training Chamber Access. Roll through a secret passage hidden by leaves.
72. Energy Tank: Chozo Ruins, Training Chamber. Open a Spider Ball track and move fast.
73. Missile Expansion: Chozo Ruins, Main Plaza. From the Training Chamber, Grapple across the Plaza. This can be frustrating; if you fall, you have to circle around to the Training Chamber again.
74. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Root Cave. The X-Ray Visor will reveal more invisible platforms.
75. Ice Spreader: Magmoor Caverns, Shore Tunnel. Power Bomb the tunnel and look underneath.
76. Power Bomb Expansion: Magmoor Caverns, Warrior Shrine. Power Bomb the floor where you got the Chozo Artifact.
77. Chozo Artifact: Magmoor Caverns, Lava Lake. Find it with the X-Ray Visor; expose it with a Super Missile.
78. Missile Expansion: Magmoor Caverns, Triclops Pit. X-Ray and Super Missile combo.
79. Plasma Beam: Magmoor Caverns, Plasma Processing. Raise the roof and ride the Spider Ball tracks.
80. Missile Expansion: Tallon Overworld, Arbor Chamber. Behind the red door at the top of the Root Cave.
81. Chozo Artifact: Chozo Ruins, Elder Chamber. Open the red Morph Ball Slot in the Hall of the Elders.
82. Flamethrower: Phazon Mines, Mine Security Station. Wreck a gate with a Power Bomb and scan a computer.
83. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Metroid Quarantine A. On the far side, use Power Bombs and look for invisible platforms.
84. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Fungal Hall B. Drop a bomb in a ring of mushrooms.
85. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Metroid Quarantine B. Blast a Cordite tank with a Super Missile.
86. Phazon Suit: Phazon Mines, Elite Quarters. Defeat the Omega Pirate.
87. Energy Tank: Phazon Mines, Processing Center Access. Next room after the Omega Pirate.
88. Chozo Artifact: Phazon Mines, Phazon Mining Tunnel. Bomb a few rocks.
89. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Fungal Access. It's under a huge mushroom.
90. Missile Expansion: Phazon Mines, Phazon Processing Center. Look for a wall with crates by it; blast it with a Power Bomb.
91. Energy Tank: Phendrana Drifts, Transport Access. Blast the ice with the Plasma Beam.
92. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Frost Cave. Grapple a Glider to cross, then knock down a stalactite.
93. Chozo Artifact: Phendrana Drifts, Storage Cave. A door hidden by a rock slide high on Phendrana's Edge can be found with a Power Bomb.
94. Power Bomb Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Security Cave. At the very top of Phendrana's Edge, Grapple a Glider and roll into a tunnel.
95. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Gravity Chamber. Melt a huge icicle in the middle of the room, then Grapple to it.
96. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Quarantine Monitor. Spider and Grapple to a hidden cave in the Quarantine Cave.
97. Power Bomb Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Ice Ruins West. An icy pillar will loose its secrets to the Plasma Beam.
98. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Phendrana Shorelines. Behind a supporting column of rock is a n icicle-blocked cavern.
99. Chozo Artifact: Phendrana Drifts, Chozo Ice Temple. Melt the ice on the Chozo Statue and curl up in its hands.
100. Missile Expansion: Phendrana Drifts, Ice Ruins East. Hiding in a solid sheet of ice.
