2 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup white karo syrup
1 cup water
1 flavor bottle

Combine ingredients in a heavy sauce pan and heat to boiling on medium high heat stiring with a wooden spoon.
Reduce heat to medium when mixture starts to boil, stop stiring.
let boil until hard crack stage (310*)
Remove from heat and add 1 bottle of oil based flavoring and a few drops of color.
Pour syrup onto a lined cookie sheet which has been lightly coated with 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
Allow to cook thoroughly and crack with a butter knife handle
