Drop Biscuits

2 Cup Sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 Tbsp shortening
3/4 Cup cold Milk

Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in shortening with for or pastry blender until the mixture is the consistency of coarse meal.
Stir in the milk to make a soft dough. Let stand for 2 minutes.

Drop dough with a fork on an ungreased baking sheet or baking pan. Bake at 450* for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

makes 12 biscuits
