Inflicted with a deadly curse from a gigantic boar demon, a young warrior named Ashitaka sets out to the forest of the west in search of a cure that may save his life. Once there he finds himself caught up in a battle between the gods and beasts of the forest and the advancing human civilization. Ashitaka must decide who he will side with, San, A human girl raised by the wolf god who is fighting against the advancement of civilization into the forest and the distruction of her home, or Lady Eboshi, the leader of the human ironworkers, who is only trying to help those who have suffered hardship to a better way of life.

Princess Mononoke was the first and I still believe one of the best animes that I have ever seen. I bought the VHS as soon as I saw it in the store and then also it was the first DVD I ever bought. (including Live action and western made movies.) The reason I also bought it on DVD? just so I could see more of the Amazing detail that Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli put into all their work, this being no exeption. The story was simple brilliant.

Final Note:Princess Mononoke is a Must See. if you are any kind of anime fan then you have to see this one. I've even showed it to people who are not a fan of anime and they have also enjoyed it. This is also an anime that you don't have to be embarassed to mention, and I think you'll agree.
