Long time rivals Isamu Alva Dyson and Guld Goa Bowman, compete as test pilots at New Edwards Test Base, on the planet Eden, to earn a contract from the UN Spacy for their new frontline fighter. However, when a mutuial friend from their pasts, Myung Fang, arrives on Eden they now have a new prize to compete over. Myung Fang is the �Producer� for a popular AI singer, but she caries a secret, she is actually the brain behind this new AI singer. When finally the new AI is given control of itself, it takes with it all of Myung�s feelings and desires and twists them into obsessions. Now the three must join together and try and stop the AI from destroying civilization.

Macross Pluss was an exellent OVA series. I have yet to get a hold of the movie but I have heard that it is of equal standands. The story was a a very serious story but at the same time provided just the right amount of comic relief in the form of arguments between Isamu and his peers. One of the things that I really liked about Macross Plus was that there were never any extreme exagerations in expressions. IE: no expanding heads, mushroom cloud sighs. The imagary and sepcial effects were astounding and all of the animation was extremely smooth and not using any stock footage. The story was also very original and the characters were given just the right amount of back story, not too much and not too little.

Final Note: Macross Plus was an Exellent Anime and I would deffinatly recommend it to anyone that enjoy any kind of anime; not just those that like Mecha Anime.
