English Tack
Above is Parts of the English Saddle**HINT** these parts can become very useful to you
Beside this text is a picture of most of the english bits... Remember it is extremely important you choose the correct bit for your horse, that wat you don't hurt your horse and you will have an enjoyable ride. My suggestion og a bit is the Loose ring snaffle. One because it is soft on the horses mouth and two because it works great in the english disipline. Another favourite of mine in the Straight bar snaffle.  I would say that the most harsh in the picture beside is the gag. I suggest ONLY experienced riders use this bit!
On the right is pictures of the different types of English girths, stirrups and other tack. The differences between the girths is mainly comfort or style. When choosing girths measure your horse first. To do that place a peice of rope from just behind the shoulder, all the way under the heart girth and to the other side. Then I suggest minus an inch or two on either side,  that way the girth you purchase will fit perfectly!

The crupper is for ponys. On ponies the saddle tends to slip forward causing the saddle to rub. The crupper stops that from happening.

All of the stirrup irons serve there individual purpose. The normal one allows you to place your foot in so you can properly post, but the second and third stirrup iron do more than that. The second one (peacock) is for safety. If you were to fall off your horse, this stirrup allows you to remove your foot easily as the elastic unbuckles, making it safe for you. Lastly the third stirrup does basically the same as the second, only you don't have to constantly replace the elastic!
