| Introduction |
| Welcome to the Website of the Northern Ireland Audit Office. This page is designed to provide you with an introduction to the Society itself and also an overview of our activities. We would like to stress that the Society strongly encourages the participation of guests, both friends of members and also any people just wanting to join an active and friendly group of golfers. | The Society |
| The NIAO Golf Society is based in Belfast and has been running for over 20 years.. The Society started as a employees' society but in recent years has expanded as friends and guests have joined us. We now have over 30 members for the year 2003. We welcome new visitors and would encourage you to join us regardless of your present handicap. There are prizes for each outing for winners, runners-up and front and back nine high scorers so everyone stands a good chance!! We tend to make one outing a month on a Friday afternoon but also organise a number of other competitions in both the North and South. The forthcoming fixtures can be seen on the outings page. We also compete annually in the International 'Le Cup' and North/South Audit Office competitions which are great fun. |
| Membership |
| You can join the society as a full member (for a small annual membership fee) which allows you to compete for members prizes. Visitors pay for each outing individually. Some outings are part-subsidised by the Society meaning that you save on the cost of the green fees. We also run an optional Two's-Club open to both members and non-members should any of you be feeling confident enough that the par can be broken!!
