Enlightened: A Guide For The Intelligent Weird Person

My first non-blinking, non-loud-wallpapered website, Enlightened was the product of a chat room I used to open back in the late 90's. Known as the IWP Site, Enlightened was a sort of haphazard e-zine made up of clumsy HTML and Windows Paint graphics. Filled with angstful essays and poetry, a pirated discussion bored, and random artwork- the site has become its own entity.

I abandoned IWP a long time ago. The site has had over 36,000 hits and was listed as Angelfire's Site of the Day (way back when.) The discussion board is still active for some ungodly reason.

I view the site as "a good idea at the time." Long live Fenchurch of Valanla.

Prophets of Kharat

Prophets is an EverQuest guild site centered around a cult theme. The idea baing basically that the end is nigh so why not get your guild awn?

This is the first website I was legitimately proud of. I kept it simple and stark... it was here that I developed my love of monochromatic themes on black or white. Prophets is also the first site that had Photoshopped graphics and consistent design throughout This is also around the time I made the transition to GeoCities and it's groovy click and drag java editor-  bite me HTML. I will know you but I will not love you..

The site is abandoned, as is EverQuest, but darn it I made it so I get to show it off, right? Right.
The Milliners of New Bremen, Georgia

As EverQuest was abandoned, text-based roleplaying became a more serious online hobby, and so we come to the Milliner site. Constantly under construction, the Milliner's little patch of netland is basically an information source on the family dwelling  in the fictional town of New Bremen, Ga.. I wanted the site to express the family's mood: money, power, and a disdain for everything but itself.

Call this my little caucasian fantasy land. Call this white-bread Martha Stewart leaking out of me. Call this penny loafer heaven.

The site features a family tree, a mini album, and descriptions of the Milliner Properties.

Niansahc / Chastain

In the spring of 2002 I started working on a website about myself. I wanted something to express just who I am to the world. I wanted something that  screamed my personality and my creativity and had lots of pretty pictures on it.

Well the site has lots of pretty pictures on it at least,  and a ton of them at that . It has become moreso a documentation of my son's growth and development than anything else.

I think of it as my photo album and the only thing Kent can't destroy with his little boy hands.

EQ League of Nations

I got a little sick of roleplaying and returned to my EverQuesty ways. League of Nations is the guild that never was. it fizzled very quickly, so quickly in fact that I only got an index page up for it.

I dig the design though, like Prophets, I am extremely proud of this one. We won't mention that the logo design is "inspired" the Bosch Power Tools site. Theirs isn't blue, well, at least not this shade of blue- and darn it I don't have a spinny logo thing.

It's a pleasant design regardless. I may use it for something else. Maybe.

Fluxisti / Sliver Site

This is my artsy photo site. As if I don't have enough photos online.

Like the Niansahc site this is a work in progress.  it's galleries are filled with both good and bad photos of the things I find interesting in this world. Therefore the majority of the site contains photos of my wee boy Kent.

He does overun my life.

Amen.
