[Upon a Losing Summer]
…and I watch as this shimmering glaze appears within you
[burning with hatred and fear]
releasing all you’ve ever thought,
[dreamed, believed;]
shedding your precious infection of lust and love.
Building up, only to be lost forever,
on your way, [to an eternity spent in ruin]
you fall a hundred painful deaths,
caught in the web of human emotion.
[Silence plays tribute to the disoriented soul that is you,
purposeless in existence, you slip from consciousness.]
You welcome every unhappiness,
[bottled up and breaking;]
A shinning droplet, full of emotion and betrayal
[pleasure and pain,
hope and despair;]
appears in the corner of your scorched eye,
[awaiting the call.]
…and a single tear falls from your face, cast into the world, unknown…
