All about Me!
Ok, you asked for it.  You are here because you want, yes want, to know more about me - Jim Robins.

Well, it all started on August 22, 1978 when I was born in Chicago, IL.  Lots of stuff happened - diapers, moving to South Carolina, walking, talking, moving to Richmond, VA, moving to Marshfield MA, grade school, middle school (though I've tried to block that one out), high school.

College time came.  I went to the
University of New Hampshire to major in music education.  While learning how to be a music teacher, I played trombone in every conceivable ensemble in the music department including, the UNH Wildcat Marching Band, wind symphony, symphonic band, orcestra, jazz band and multiple jazz combos.

After I begrudgingly left UNH, I entered the real world.  I am now the band director at
Hampstead Middle School in Hampstead, NH.  I teach band to grades 5 thru 8, and general music to grades 5 and 8.  I also teach general music at the Hampstead Central School to kids in readiness (not quite ready for first grade) and multi-age 1/2 (first and second grade in the same class).

When not teaching, I am an active freelance trombonist.  I currently play trombone in New Hampshire's hottest show band -
Groove Alliance . I also play in the Seacoast Big Band, directed by Dave Seiler.  Along with these two time consuming groups, I play with local theatre groups occassionally, including the Majestic Theatre and the annual Central High School/Palace Theater production.
