As you might guess, I've been somewhat removed from Class
of '59 contacts for some years, but have seen Jeff Newhouse, Jon Perry
and Danny Menaker at least once in the last five or ten years!!
I've heard that DONALD McCHESNEY retired from IBM a few years ago.
Some bits and pieces:
RUTH SAUTER ZEHNER (Mt. Holyoke, '63): occupation = home maker;
we were married in 1964.
We have two sons:
David (b1972) BA/LLB UNSW, who completed his MBA/MIA at Columbia
in May this year. David married Rachel Bonenfant of Presque Isle,
Maine, in June 2000. They plan to stay in NY until mid-2003, after
which they'll be heading back to Sydney.
Eric (b1977) BSc UNSW, who has just finished a GradDip in Information
Technology at UTS. He's the cricketer in the family.
About
his umpire's role and uniform (NOT shown in the photo), Bob
writes:
Umpires are called many things -- my son (an accomplished cricketer)
notes that one label is "the penguins". (Cricketers do not always have
the highest regard for umpires.) The approved gear: white shirt and an
official tie(!), black pants, white shoes and a white hat. Can see where
'penguin' comes from!
