Became first NHRA driver to run 300 mph in Top Fuel and Funny Car, April 6, 1997, Rockingham (N.C.) Dragway.

Became 11th member of Castrol 4-Second Club for Funny Cars with run of 4.958 seconds at 1997 U.S. Nationals.
