This story tells us how Sri Thanonchai tricked the king to go into a pond fully dressed up. One day the king traveled to the park with the ladies of the court, the court officials and Sri Thanonchai. While they were resting on the raff, the king told Sri Thanonchai,

“You are a clever man. Now try to trick me to get into the water.”

“See if you can do it.“ the king challenged him.

       Sri Thanonchai pretended sadness on his face and replied,

“Oh! Woe to me. That would be beyond my power. I can only get your majesty to come up. “

The king who wanted to disprove Sri Thanonchai quickly jumped in the water with enthusiasm.

“Now make me come up,” the king said.

“I have already made your majesty to get into the water!”   Sri Thanonchai laughed.

Sri Thanonchai had succesfully tricked the king again.
