Wayne County went 5-0 to win the tournament. North got off to a good start with three quick pins and lots of momentum, but Wayne County is very tough from 103 to 135, including a Kentucky 3 time state champion and undefeated in his career Travis Sullivan, and rolled through the rest of the line-up with some very fine wrestling.

Farragut, the host school, got off to a good start with two quality victories against the Knights. Farinella at 145 (and the one at 119) are tough! But the Knights wrestled very tough in this match to take the overall victory. A few mental mistakes prevented North from winning some very close matches that we lost.

Robbinsville was a match that could have easily been won by North if one or two weight classes went different. Nevertheless, the Black Knights from Robbinsville wrestled tough and outlasted the Knights from Fruitland. Robbinsville is very tough from 103 to 130, which made their match-up with Wayne County interesting. Congratulations to Coach Odom on a well earned victory.

North was just outmatched against William Blount, who ended up finishing second on the day overall. This team wrestled like they had lots of experience and were obviously well prepared by their coaches.
