MS. GINTER'S �SPANISH �II STUDENT OF EXCELLENCE AWARD
Announcement:���������������������������������������������������
Ms. Kara C. Ginter, teacher of French and Spanish, announces the first award for the most outstanding student of Spanish,  who places high value on and excels in learning a foreign language.   Nominations may be made and left with Ms. Ginter.
Criteria for Selection
1. Nominees must be Ms. Ginter's second year Spanish students who hold high   standards in learning.
2.   A nominee must have been active in class as evidenced by:
� learning excellence
� class participation
� having an added to the positive tone of the class
� having a visible and respected academic record
3.   A nominee must have demonstrated success in Spanish. There should be clear   evidence beyond formal classroom assessment, including encouraging and   helping the learning tone of the class as a whole.
Procedures for Selection
1. Nominations are invited from students within� Ms. Ginter's Spanish II classes and should be addressed to Ms.Ginter.
The nomination letter must establish the case for the nominee's receipt of the award. The letter must be accompanied by a statement about what the student has accomplished.  Nomination letters and the accompanying information are to be turned into Ms. Ginter.� Ms. Ginter will review the nominations and identify a group of nominees for the second stage of the selection process.
2. Following the review of the materials received,  Ms.Ginter�will select a few nominees for the final screening process.
3.   Ms. Ginter will review the nominee's performance as a student.
4. The awardee will be announced and formally recognized  at which time he/she will be presented a certificate.
