North Harris County Alumnae Chapter was pleased to host the conference attended by 116 Sigma Kappas from Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas collegiate and alumnae chapters.


Friday night opened wih a rodeo reception. Get-to-know you activities were orchestrated by Angela Guillory, Delta Mu, Sigma Kappa National President. The evening was capped off by skits and songs from the Kappa Eta Chapter from Texas Christian University. To see pictures Click here


Saturday morning brought lots of opportunites for learning and sharing. A general session was presented by Nancy Holland, Beta Tau, KHOU-TV reporter. Alumnae worshops featured Rie Hoehner, Alpha Gamma Delta, and our national president, Angela Guillory, Delta Mu. Collegiate workshops featured our national president, Angela Guillory, Delta Mu and Becka Meier and Kristen Kirst. Detective DeCoda Clue interupted the session to ask for assistance in finding the perpetrator of Professor Lavendar Maroon! To see pictures Click here


Saturday evening was a time of celebration at the banquet. Awards were presented by the San Antonio, Houston, and North Harris County Alumnae Chapters. Our keynote speaker, Sarah Weddington, delighted us with tales of her days in government and in front of the US Supreme Court. To see pictures Click here


Sunday morning we learned all about the Sigma Kappa Foundation from Angela Guillory, Delta Mu. A slide show on the Just One campaign introduced at the last National Convention was presented by Carole Townsend, Beta Tau. The conference wrapped up with a wonderful inspiration service designed and lead by the Houston Alumane Chapter. To see pictures Click here
