See, I knew you wanted to know more about me!
Now, lets see.  What to tell you.  hmmmm....
In my free time I go to Funspot, watch movies and TV, and just hang out doing basically nothing.  Lately I have been taking a lot of day trips and mini vacations too.  Gotta keep myself sane after all!!
For anyone who doesn't know what Funspot is, what rock have you been living under?  Seriously, it is the local arcade here in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.  Working together since 1999, Funspot and Twin Galaxies have hosted a tournament each year on the classics arcade and pinball machines.   Funspot has a VERY large collection of classic video games and pinballs.  They are in the process of creating the American Classic Arcade Museum.  All the games are set to Twin Galaxies tournament settings (TGTS).  Walter Day founded Twin Galaxies (TG) back in 1981.  TG is the official electronic scoreboard for high scores on pinball and video games.
I have always enjoyed video games.  My mom and I used to compete against one another on the Atari and Nintendo when I was little.  Liz isn't found of playing any video games because of us!   I may not be as good as my friends are, but that is ok.  I have always enjoyed hanging out in arcades with my friends.  From 8th grade when we took a field trip to Gunstock to go skiing (and we found the games in the lodge) and 9th grade when we took our class trip to Canobie Lake Park (and once again, found the arcades with Matt, Gabe, Keith, Chuck, Joe, Jeff,  and the rest of the guys!).  Now I hang out with my friends at Funspot!  We have a lot of fun cheering each other on with what ever game is being played, then have a blast going to Laconia House of Pizza afterwards.  Lately we have been going to Dunkin Donuts instead of LHOP since LHOP has been closing at midnight.  Bummer!!
With any luck, Dave was able to come up and brought some chocolate with him for a game of the day challange!!  That is always a bonus!
When I was little, I never did very much traveling.  The most we did was going to North Anson, Maine to visit family (not that I didn't enjoy that.  Those are still my favorite times growing up.)  The summer I turned 17, I stayed with my cousin and watched her 2 kids  in New York.  They lived in Crown Point and then they moved 2 weeks before the end of the summer further north.  I had a good summer out there.  It was relaxing, most of the time, and I learned a lot about myself while I was there.  It was nice to be able to go out to the garden everyday, pick fresh green or wax beans and have them for lunch.  I met some interesting people while I was there, but I wouldn't trade any of the experiences I had out there for the world.  Since that summer,  I have gone to Washington D.C (for the 4th of July with Ken and his parents), Florida (to meet Ken's family in Vero Beach, March 2000), Las Vegas (for a video game conference with Ken and Dave, CGE, August 2000) and Iowa (October 2001, to visit Walter at TG headquarters!!).  Ken and I also went to New York City for the first time July 2004, before the split, to see Walter, Billy, Robert and Brian.  I went back to NYC this past February for a quick mini vacation and saw Billy, Walter, Brian and Robert again.  I went to Florida again this past January.  I went to Disney for the first time with my friend Elena.  I also went to Hollywood and Vero Beach to visit friends and family while I was in Florida.  I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked, so I am hoping to get back down to Florida later this year and who knows where else!  There are some more video game expos and conventions coming up.  Road Trips!!!
My first full-time job was only a temporary thing.  The summer between my junior and senior year in high school, I worked for Duncraft making bird feeders.  My parents had both worked for Duncraft before, so I think that helped me get my job.  My senior year in high school, I got an after-school job at a day care in Concord, thanks to Ken's friend Mike.  After I graduated, I ended up staying there and working full time for another 4 years.  It was a great "first" job.  I had other part-time jobs before, like at Summer Freeze, paper delivery and working with my mom at the Lampshop, but nothing was quite like working at the daycare and seeing the kids everyday.  It was a lot of fun!  Since then I worked another daycare and the YMCA in Concord for a short time before moving to Laconia and where I am today being a nanny and working at Laconia Athletic & Swim Club.
