Enoch George Adams Co D 2nd NH Vols
(1829-1900) attended Yale (1845-1847) and served as a Private, Sergeant, and 2nd Lieutenant in Co. D, 2nd Regiment, N.H. Volunteers. After the war he stayed with the U.S. Army, moved west and fought in several engagements with the Indians. He travelled throughout the Pacific Northwest and finally settled for a time in Vancouver, Washington, where he worked as editor of the Vancouver Register.
