A few tired people turned up, after a weekend of hashing over indulgence. The Hogsback Brewery visit, R2D2’S 2ND Birthday Run and Hursley Sunday morning being a typical selection.  Chuck and Vibrator attended the R2D2 and were in good spirits, but unfortunately had to fly back earlier today.  As for us, well Cluedo was a returner and soon up to his old tricks, and poor Pip Hockland was on crutches after tearing ligaments.

We ventured forth between lakes, but came to an abrupt halt at a back-check, and returned to follow the SCBs alongside a pond.  I found the first check  as we ran up a small hill, and then Sex Slave the next as we ran along chalky paths toward the local cemetery.  At the next I ran through it on hearing the On on and then  leapt over a compost heap to join the fray,  before taking my own life in my hands by trying to overtake Commercial Whale on a narrow path!  Andy Hockland then took us along a shiggy path to a regroup.

The check was found by Horn and soon we were flirting with a road on one side. I passed Cluedo at a check soon after, but then crossed a main road onto heathland the other side only to meet him again, before someone called On and had to go back.  After a regroup by the same road, I led us across into heathland again and built up a big lead as I found three checks in a row, my progress being halted by another regroup in a wood.  First to join me were Flying Doctor and Petal who had short-cutted after a tip off from Velcro (m).

After a short delay we were joined by the SCBs,  including Cuddles and young Sarah on her virgin run.  The On on was called and after a fast pace three checks in a row went to…. wait for it evergreen Fruit N’Nut, leaving a long straggle of people in his wake.  By the Cricketers Pub a back-check foiled my attempt to lead, and JGG then came to the fore with Rent Boy chasing him.  JGG then found two checks as we crossed a main road and proceeded along a lane toward the cemetery again.   After entering a wood I then led us to the On Inn, and past a lake to the car-park.  After the run we then retired to The Queen Pub in Blackwater, to meet ex-NH4 hasher Bruce an old friend of Hobble.
