When I branched off too early at the wrong roundabout, Petal gave me a funny look, anyone would have thought it was the road to Broadmoor.  Meanwhile Fruit N’Nut drove around in vain trying to find the start.  While those of us that were unlucky enough to find the start, were jammed in to the car-park like inmates in straight jackets. Nothing new there then…

Fuggles the alleged co-hare, smiled coyly but showed a mark lack of interest when invited by our esteemed leader JGG to explain proceedings, never the less we gathered in expectation for our great adventure.  We started up a track into the heathland, but no flour was found and Fairy Snow following JGG’s arrow went off at a tangent to find the On.  With the FRBs playing catch-up Sex Slave sneaked up a small hill to find the first check and take us to a wide expanse of cleared woods.  We sped out across the scarred landscape and it was Old Thumper who found the check along a shiggy road, and soon after close to a main road I stumbled on a back-check. Horn found the next check and before you knew it we had arrived at the first regroup by Caesars Camp, an old Iron Fort.

Andy Hockland found the check as we skirted the edge of this huge hole in the ground, but eventually met a back-check in a wood, and it was Sex Slave again who rescued us as we climbed out of a small valley. I then took us across a plateau into another enclosure finding three concecutive checks before meeting Hobble and Thomas at the second regroup.  While we all gathered Fairy Snow sneaked off down a path in the woods, so I shopped him to the RA but soon paid for my recklessness when a minute later he appeared from behind a tree having gone for a leak.

The check was found by Old Thumper, in inspired form, and she found the next two as well as we descended of the heath and under the A3095.  Andy Hockland found the next two checks on a chalky hill, and then Old Thumper found one in a wood clearing.  Horn then called On up a muddy track, and then found the next as we curved around in a semi circle into a wide expanse of marsh and tree stumps.  With flour difficult to spot JGG pointed Velcro (f) in the direction and I then led us home along a marshy track and across the roundabout to the car-park
