This hangover run turned out to be a peach of a run. No recce was needed, just a map, an energetic co-hare, and some blind faith.  Still there is always the possibility of some unforeseen occurrence just to keep you on your toes….

We were joined for the day by Anorak and  Sex Slave, and with the suns rays dabbing through the trees we bounded off into the pine trees.  The first check offered a nice selection of woodland paths, and old campaigner Dickhead was spied going the right way in his bounding style of his.  He returned shortly after saying who had called On. To baffled looks he set off again, but then returned and said I am sure I have been here before.  Panic then set in as I realised the other FRBs had wandered into the returning trail but fortunately Kevin saved the day by calling On and at long last we were off.  His partner Cloggs in close company… then found the next check before at a one blob check she asked me which way I was going to check-out before shouting ‘oh shit’ as she realising I was the hare.  She called On to take us across a road and then up a steep slope back into the woods.  Sex Slave then took the pack along a twisty path across the woods before I lost sight of them.  While I guided the SCBs along an easier route Rent Boy found the check in the next valley to lead the way up another steep slope to a ridge.

After a short stop at a regroup JGG took the lead as we joined up with several wide tracks close to a main road.  This proved difficult until a cunning if injured Anorak crossed the road to find flour.  After a long stretch a one blob check was found by JGG as they made a wide circuit across some woods until they arrived at the second regroup.  The trail then followed the main road before Rent Boy took us across and into more open tracks.  A ‘Ladies’ Check was then found quickly by Cloggs before the next check held up proceedings, that is until Anorak came to the fore to find flour leading across some difficult terrain.  A ‘grey haired’ Check followed before the last regroup on the edge of a forest break.  With the injured Chuck in sight bringing up the SCBs, Old Thumper sussed out the check to take us across a bridge and close to the wood with our cabins.

Cloggs then took control to find the last two checks along sunny paths to take us home.
