This is one of my favorite scene from KC, Captain Marvel standing over Superman with his classic cheesy grin.

The Big Red Cheese was formerly a FC Captain America body. I wasn't too pleased with the FC bodies so I made a few simple modifications. None of these additions affect the articulation. I added premo (yellow arrows) to beef up his thighs, back of the legs, calves, waist and biceps to give him similar proportions to the Alex Ross paintings. I'll try to add a before picture so you can see the differences. His outfit was sewn from lycra. I added a flap piece to the front of his suit but I'm not sure you can see it from this cheesy scan. The button was made using a small hole puncher and an old credit card. I originally used snaps on his outfit since velco is too bulky for my personal taste. After this picture was taken, I replaced the snaps with hooks to make it even less bulky and noticeable.

CM's cape was made from white satin with the gold trimmings made of gold lycra. I also inserted copper wires into the edges of the cape so the cape can poseable if desired. The 6 golden loops were made from thick thread. I used No Fray to stiffen the thread so they would retain the shape. The neck rope was gold string I bought from Fabric Depot. The belt sash was made from lycra and connected in the back by a snap. The boots came from Captain America with heavy modifications. I took it apart and resew it to make it more form fitting. I also decreased the length according to Alex Ross's drawings. I'm in the process of making form fitting rubber boots, but in the mean time, the Big Red Cheese will have to live with vinyl.
