3 1/4 c flour (spoon lightly in cup and level with spatula)

1 c cake flour (same as for reg. flour)

1 1/2 tsp soda

1 tsp baking powder

Mix the above together well

1 1/4 c sugar

1 1/4 c brown sugar

3 sticks unsalted butter

Cream the above together well

Add 2 eggs (1 at a time), and 1 T vanilla

Add flour mixture

Stir in

2 pkgs. chocolate chips

2 c nuts, coarsely chopped

Drop on cookie sheet (using an ice cream scoop makes fast work of this and the cookies come out big and chewy.
