Fletching
Fletching is a members only skill, that you use to make bows and arrows.
It is rather complex and very hard to put into just one table of XP
values, so, we are going to be working on this for quite some time.
Now, Fletching is basically divided into two parts. Bows and arrows. I'll
start with arrows.
Making Arrows
Making arrows involves three things. Fisrt, you need wooden shafts.
These are easy to make, all you need is a knife(found in the seer's
village under the spinning wheel, and in Lumbridge) and logs from
a normal tree. Oak logs, Willow or any other named wood can only be
used for bow making. All you do is use the knife on the logs,
and select "make arrow-shafts" from the little menu.

You get 10 shafts and 5 fletching XP from each log.
Ok, now we have arrow-shafts. The next thing we need is feathers.
These are (Ix thinks) the hardest item to get that you will need.
You can get them two ways. First, you can find a bunch of chickens,
and get feathers from them (see the bestiary
for how many they drop), or you can buy them at the fishing store(s),
(one fishing store is in Port Sarim).
Attaching a feather to an arrow-shaft gives you 1 XP each arrow.
Now we move to our last item needed, the arrow-heads. These are easy
to make. All you do is mine some metal ore (start with bronze, cause
until you are lvl 15 fletching, you can't use anything else) Smelt
it into bars, and smith it the way you would any piece of armor, into
arrow heads. You get ten arrow heads a bar, and for smithing the arrows-heads,
you get smithing XP, the same as you would get from any other item
made from 1 bar. Now all you do is use the arrow-heads with the arrows,
and presto! your first batch of arrows.
Feathering any 10 arrows gives 10XP. carving the arrow shafts gives
5XP per 10 arrows.
Bows
( To make the lowest bow, a regular shortbow, you must be level
5 fletching)
Bows are simpler to make than arrows. All you need is the bow shaft,
and a string. To make the shaft, simply cut down any regular tree,
use a knife on the logs, and select either short bow or long
bow from the little menu(start with short bow). Now you have your
bow. All we need is the string.

The string is easy enough. First, you'll need a flax plant,(these
are found in camalot, see the world map in " maps", next to the beehives). There, just pick a
plant, and take it to a spinning wheel. The nearest wheel is in
the Seer's village. Spin the flax on the wheel(gives 15 crafting
XP) and use the string with the bow. Voila! You made your first bow.
The XP for carving is the XP you get from making bow shafts. Stringing
any bow gives the same XP as it gives for carving it.

This skill is very closely tied to Fletching. To make anything
in Fletching, you must first cut the wood needed. Normal wood is
found all over, some of the new woods include Maple, Oak, and Magic
wood. To cut any of these, you need a hatchet. All of the new trees
are inside the members kingdom of Kandarin(Camalot), and the normal
trees are all over the map.
We also have a completed Woodcutting XP table here. It tells the
XP and level needed for every wood.
Firemaking
We are working on an XP table for this skill. For now all we can
tell you is to start a fire you need logs (see woodcutting) and
a tinderbox. Tinderboxes can be purchased at any general store.
Drop the logs, and use the tinderbox on them. Presto, a fire.
