   En janvier 1987, le r�v�rend Charles Gorrissen, pr�tre des missions �trang�res de Paris, cr�e une association de droit philippin � but non lucratif.

 

Son but: donner une chance aux plus d�munis de sortir de la mis�re grace � l’�ducation.

    Aujourd’hui, 125 b�n�ficiaires de 6 � 20 ans prennent le chemin de l’�cole. Orphelins, enfants abandonn�s ou issus de familles tr�s pauvres, ils se construisent un avenir. 93% de nos b�n�ficiaires se trouvent � Manila (Ermita, Intramuros, Malate, Paco, Pandacan, san Andres, santa ana, santa Mesa, tondo, singalong and sampaloc). 7% habitent Metro Manila et sont d’anciens enfants que l’on suit (Navotas, Malabon, Cavite, Las Pinas and Taguig).

La Fondation est enregistr�e au SEC (Securities and exchange commission) et reconnue par le DSWD (department of social welfare and development).

Assistance m�dicale.

Mise en place de micros projets avec les familles des enfants: atelier de couture, artisanat…etc.

BORN OUT OF A NEED

is a non-stock, non-profit organization

created in 1987 by a French Reverend named Charles Gorrissen.

The organization is registered

with the Securities and Exchange Commission

and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

 Vision:

The Charles Gorrissen Foundation Inc. (CGFI) envisions the empowerment of the poor urban children and youth of Manila by giving them the opportunity, particularly with education, to develop their individual capacities in order to achieve self-esteem and to become self-reliant adults through employment.

Beneficiaries:

125 Children and young adults from 6 to 20 years old, living in the depressed area of Manila; either orphans, abandoned or whose family earnings fall below the poverty line.
