  2. LINGaP (Linkuran sa Ikauunlad Na Ganap ng Pamilya) signifie : Aider (soutien pour un d�velopement global de la famille)

    LINGaP est une association de droit philippin enregistr�e en fevrier 1997. Elle a repris les activit�s de travail social lanc�es par Inter Aide dans le bidonville de Letre en 1994 puis �tendues sur Navotas d�but 1997. En partenariat avec la municipalit� de Malabon et MSF Suisse, un projet d’assainissement et d’�ducation sanitaire � �t� lanc� fin 1998.

    Le financement des activit�s de LINGaP est encore assur� par Inter Aide en France avec des fonds allou�s par la Communaut� Europ�enne, Les Amis de Soeur Emmanuelle (ASE), Fr�res de nos Fr�res (ONG Suisse) ainsi que de nombreux partenaires locaux.

  3. Les Activites

Accompagnement familial de 350 familles particuli�rement vuln�rables. L’objectif �tant de favoriser l’acc�s de ses familles � l’�ducation, la sant� et la formation.

Pr�-scolarisation de 500 enfants de 3 � 6 ans dans 7 �coles maternelles de qualit�, implant�es dans le bidonville. Une exp�rience d’autonomisation de ces �coles par un syst�me de semi-privatisation est pr�vue pour la rentr�e scolaire 1999.

Assistance �ducative � 180 �l�ves du primaire et du secondaire 2 heures par jour, 5 fois par semaine.

Des bourses permettent � 24 �l�ves du secondaire de continuer leurs �tudes, en �change ils s’occupent de l’assistance �ducative pendant 4 heures chaque samedi.

En collaboration avec la municipalit� de Malabon et les habitants, MSF Suisse et LINGaP proj�tent de r�habiliter le pont d’acc�s ainsi que 850 m�tres de routes et de canaux sur les Phases I et II du bidonville de Letre.

Chantier annuel anim� avec la participation de volontaires d’ASE : activit�s r�cr�atives et �ducatives pendant 1 mois avec les jeunes de la communaut�.

  1. INTRODUCTION

LINGaP (Linkuran sa Ikauunlad Na Ganap ng Pamilya) means : To help (support for a holistic family development)

LINGaP is a Philippino NGO registered under the Security and Exchange Commission in February 1997. The Foundation took over the social work initiated by Inter Aide in Letre slum in 1994 and extended in Navotas beginning 1997.

In partnership with Malabon Municipal Corporation and MSF Switzerland, a sanitation and health education project was launched at the end of 1998.

The financial means for LINGaP activities are provided by Inter Aide France with funds given by the European Community, Les Amis de Soeur Emmanuelle (ASE), Fr�res de nos Fr�res (Swiss NGO).

  1. THE ACTIVITIES

Family follow-up of 350 families in the depressed area of Malabon and Navotas. The objective of the family development program is to facilitate the access to education, health and training for these families.

Providing pre-schooling for 500 children 3 to 6 years old in 7 equipped playgroup centers, located in the slum. A pilot project to reach sustainability through establishment of semi-private pre-schools will be experienced for the school year 1999.

Tutorial activities are provided to 180 pupils from primary and secondary schools 2 hours a day, five days a week.

24 junior assistants are the direct beneficiaries from the LINGaP grants in order to help them to continue their studies. As a counterpart, they are monitoring education sessions during 4 hours every Saturday.

In partnership with the Municipality of Malabon and the community, MSF Swiss and LINGaP planed to rehabilitate the access bridge, as well as 850 meters of roads and canals on phases I and II of Letre slum.

A yearly immersion camp is settled with the participation of five volunteers of ASE : recreating and educational activities are organized during 1 month with the youth from the community. This activity work as a link with other projects dedicated to the youth such as Aral Aralan or Youth development services.
