An
My Blog
Hi, welcome to my website.

I was born and raised in Southern California. My family is originally from Vietnam.

Skipping ahead, I graduated with a degree in History and a minor in Humanities and Law. I recently obtained an advanced degree in History and am now pursuing a teaching credential in Social Science. I am forever a student of life.

I credit my parents, especially my father, and people in my life for helping me to get to where I am. My own past tribulations and trials, particularly because of my hearing disability and language, help shape me as well. Once, my friend Javier told me that "big things come in small package." Dear readers, I guess you will have to find out if this phrase describes me well or not.

I am reminded of my historical role model Helen Keller's quote:

I long to accomplish a great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.

I want to improve the world that I live somehow and there are so many ways to go about that. There's too little time and so much to do. Maybe a path to education is one way for me. Anyway, this site is just a glimpse into my new journey now and my life as I see it.

My academic is fairly broad -- arts, education, languages, history, and literature. I am   very interested in learning Vietnamese history and culture.

My interests and hobbies include writing poems, traveling, watching foreign and dramatic movies, practicing guitar and piano, and dancing latin dances.

One can always find me listening to music while reading.
How can I describe my family, especially my relatives? I am absolutely blessed to have family members in my life. They live in different parts of the world. I've only recently connected with my relatives in Vietnam which is great.

People come and go in my life, but good and true friends stay connected. I stay connected with friends via Internet and phone. Although my friends are far from me physically, they are never far from my mind and heart.
