"I am Tulkas. I am a half-giant of the North. What I remember of my people was each of us wandering through the lands we called home. My home was in the deep north, in the snow-topped woods. My people and I were not as tightly bonded as a human tribe or any other society. If I had food to spare, I hasred it with those of my people I found. Food was never a problem with my people. My life consisted of roaming through the wooded hills hunting and fishing to sustain me comfortably. One day, I came upon a woman and her spose. Her name was Isthea. They instilled in me the lessons and morals that hold me today. They gave me what no giant could have amongst themselves...they gave me a home.

My people have no more connection to each other. We lived wandering life. Not by choice, however, but by our nature. It is the way of giants to take care of oneself and not be dependent on another for help.We in groups, it only meant we would have to look farther out for our own food. After I came upon Isthea, my life took a drastic change. She taught me how and why I should care for others and how to work for a cause for other than my own benifit. Her spouse taught me how to think outside of what I see. From him I learned how to build and shape the things around me. yet, I have not stopped learning. Through them I also met Conic, a half-troll who has been my comrade and brought much laughter and frustration into my life.

While out on a ranging mission one day, Martus, the Lord Commander of Night's Watch, came upon my family and I. I was attacked by the rangers like many of the other giants who had developed a distain for the Night's Watch over time. As I attemped to defend myself Martus struck me down. Soon he came to understand that there was no harted or aggression from me to the rangers. In regret, he extended an invitation to join him as a brother of the Night's Watch. From that point on I have been taught, and in turn teach others, what I know of fighting and building. I am now First Builder of the House of Builders, and sworn brother-in-arms to Night's Watch as a protector of the unit and all of Dominion."
