It all started when we were blamed for Germany’s demise. They claimed us Jews were the reason why their army was taken away, and why their economy is in decline. The harsh punishment by America and their allies towards Germany pushed them to blame us. Now my family and I along with other Jewish families are living in fear. Why is it our fault? We did nothing wrong, and nothing towards Germany. My brothers and sisters were taken away to Concentration Camps. My wife and kids are hiding and living in someone’s house. All our possessions, taken away by the Nazis. Many Jews, shot and killed in front of us to make examples of.
We are lucky. The Nazis haven’t found us. But we don’t know how long we can keep up with this. The secret police comes and look for anybody, anybody looking Jewish. How can you look Jewish? He has a long nose! He must be a Jew. Bring him in. The man that was taken away wasn’t a Jew. He was a poor unlucky man, at the wrong place at the wrong time. He couldn’t have done anything, there were at least 10 Nazi officers with guns. If he would have ran, he would have been shot to death. There was nothing we could have done, as we watched from a far corner. If we would have spoken up, they would have saw us and arrested us.
Why isn’t anybody doing anything to help us? Who is going to help all the innocent people, dying by the dozens? It is hard to hide. We lucked out with this nice family letting us live with them. But I think they’re getting weary of us. We aren’t doing anything for them in return and we’re taking up space and eating all their food. Days are long, with nothing much to do. This isn’t good for my two daughters and my wife, who is always nervous. It is only a matter of time before the family we’re living with will want to turn us in to the Nazis. I hope something is done soon.
There is news that America and the Alliance are fighting a war against Germany. I hope it is going to help us Jews. To many are perishing, and are in agony. Lord please let the Alliance win and let us Jews Free. Oh no, there’s a group of Nazi officers at the door. I don’t think the family told them about us because of the nervous looks on their faces. Now they’re in the house, looking around. I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I can hear them approaching near us. I fear our lives are in trouble now, more than it ever was, and we endangered the family that gave us their hospitality. The Nazis turned around, and are starting to leave. Thank God they didn’t find us. Lets just hope that they don’t come back, and the war will help us Jews.
